"On 10.23.23 I hired Shamrock Chimney, address, 3 Mountain St. E, Worcester, MA, 01606, telephone: 508.433.0609, to clean my chimney; upon inspection of the chimney, I was told that the cement crown was damaged and needed replacement, as well as resetting loose bricks at the top of the chimney. The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. I told Shamrock's representative that I was fearful that the caps could fall down damaging my roof and cars, or injuring someone walking into my house on the walkway below. Shamrock told me that someone would be out to ensure that the caps were properly secured - however no one from Shamrock came out. After nearly 2 months with no response from Shamrock, on April 4, 2024, I called Shamrock"

They showed up on time, gave us an estimate which we compared to another we had already had, they had the better bid. We asked when they could do the job & they said right now if you want us to. They started the job and then had to go get a part. They came right back, continued to work on the gas line. The job couldn't be finished that day, they needed to go get one more special fitting and would need to come back the next work day. We paid half in good faith. I'm the kind of customer who wants to understand what's going on, why something broke, how I can prevent it, what are the alternatives, etc. He walked me through everything, explaining what he was doing as he was doing it, and stopping periodically to dive deeper into the details as I had questions. My AC needed a charge of coolant, but the air handler in the attic was also in a deteriorated state, with rust buildup and mold present. Adam showed me everything he was seeing and explained its significance. He also explained that our system is using a type of coolant (R-22) that is being phased out and that will become increasingly difficult to find. We got the AC working again for now, but it sounds like we need to replace our system. I will definitely be reaching out to Cotti-Johnson about that, and I hope the installers I get are as meticulous and knowledgeable as Adam!"
