"Recently we hired Ardmore to replace the glass in 2 of our skylights and install a new storm door. Other than rain delays the skylights were installed in less than 2 hours as Ardmore sent 2 crews for the installation. They even came inside to vacuum any debris that might have fallen into the house during the installation. (5 out of 5). The installation of the storm doors was different. It took over 10 hours for 2 men to finish the installation which I felt was excessive and felt they didn't do the installation correctly. The difference between a good company and a better company is how well they fix a problem and to this point they are doing a better job. When I called to complain the scheduler immediately suggested they send out someone to inspect the work and within 3 days someone came out and fixed 2 out of the 3 problems and said someone would be calling me and ordering a replacement part to fix the 3rd problem"

"Excellent Experience! Jack repaired a basement door installation on Weds Oct. 13, 21. He took a jagged, an uneven, horrid hack job door installation and turned it into a work-of-art. Jack fitted the door inside the frame evenly and smoothly. The door now easily, effortlessly opens. I can now successfully enter and leave my garage. It looks beautiful and finished. Jack has years of experience, he is SKILLED, he is PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, RESPECTFUL, he works QUICKLY, QUIETLY, and NEATLY. He cleans up following his work...affordable, same-day service, called in the morning, Jack finished in the afternoon. I am satisfied and I am happy...no more worries, I am no longer upset! I will recommend EZ Door 2000 to friends and family. I recommend EZ Doors 2000 to YOU! Hire them, use them...well, if you want the job done right!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Where do I start??? This company is great! My husband and I were blown away by his professionalism and constant communication with us. Not to mention, how knowledgeable and punctual they were. He is not your average contractor :) He did everything he said he would do and all in a timely manner. In 4 days, the removal of our old deck and awning was taken down, a new deck was built, completed brick and stone pointing on the back and side of my home, last but not least.... made my garage look brand spanking new (stucco walls)! I am beyond pleased with the work done. If you want quality work at a reasonable price, Trinhs Construction is the way to go."

"Very professional and the team did an awesome job. Siding, basement windows, gutters, capping all replaced. Denny was great, kept us informed every step of the way either stopped or called everyday to check in. Both Mario's and the team did an awesome job tearing off and installing everything. Looks great. They were on time every day and worked long hours until the job was done. Thank you!"

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

A vacuum with a hose attachment or a lint roller can easily remove dust from your window screen. Pressure washing window screens is another option, but you should make sure you have the appropriate nozzle and pressure setting to avoid doing extensive damage to your window.

It’s possible to make minor screen repairs yourself using a waterproof adhesive for small tears or a screen patch kit for larger tears and holes. However, it’s usually a better option to call in a professional window technician. It’s very easy to use too much waterproof glue, resulting in a messy appearance that might demand a full replacement anyway. A screen repair technician will not only be able to carry out clean repairs and patches that aren’t obvious, but they can also let you know if replacing your screen is a more cost-effective option.

Screen repair is always worthwhile, as tears and holes in your windows and door screens are unsightly and allow pests and debris into your home, rendering the screen useless. The faster you repair your screens, the faster you can open your windows and doors freely to let the fresh air in. Consider repairing multiple door and window screens during one appointment with a screen repair technician to make the investment and labor costs worth it.

Window repairs cost $175 to $615, depending on the type of repair. Because double-hung windows have two sashes and multiple pieces of hardware, like locks and handles, there are many parts that can break over time. Repairing locks, latches, or other hardware costs about $75 to $200 and is easy to DIY. Fixing one or multiple sashes costs about $200 to $600.

The cost ultimately depends on size, but roughly, the most popular screen materials will set you back anywhere from around $0.25 to over $25 per square foot. Fiberglass and aluminum are usually less expensive at around $0.25 to $0.70 per square foot. Solar screens cost about $7.50 to $15 per square foot, while security screens range from around $10 to $25 per square foot.
