"America Drain Cleaning came to our site to service a drain clog in the sewer line between the building and the street connection.  The drain piping was complex and difficult to clear.  The guys that showed up on site stuck with it and worked the problem until the line was cleared.  They went above and beyond.  I was extremely happy with the work that was done and would recommend them to you.  Great guys too.

"The house I bought had a cheap old toilet upstairs that was constantly running and just overall not that good. I was looking to repair it when I found that I had a leak on my shut off that ran all day and caused some water damage. I was going down the list of the service providers in my area (based off rating) and found Fabrizio's to be the first that could come out next day. I asked them to quote me a price for the work, and the first response was that I would save some money if I bought my own toilet. Unfortunately getting a toilet in that short amount of time would not have worked so I asked them to bring one. They estimated being able to be at my house by 1:00 but I got a call early in the day from Frank that said he'd be able to be there an hour early, and to verify the toilet I wanted. Frank showed up right on time, as promised, and looked into the work involved. It turns out that I did not need a replacement valve, it just needed to be tightened (which saved some money), and then he installed the new toilet. Throughout the entire time Frank was polite/professional and very thorough. After the job was done he also gave some free professional advice regarding some other work I would need in the near future, without requiring me to jump through any hoops. I would absolutely recommend Fabrizio's to anyone, and have already recommended them to my father for some work that was needed per my conversation with Frank."

Bruce responded immediately to my request on Angie's list and scheduled services for the next day.  However, I was not able to meet with him the next day but he was very considerate to schedule services a day later.  Our AC unit would come on but would not blow cool air.  Bruce was very prompt and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem before my husband and I arrived at the property.  He explained to us that someone failed to reconnect one of the wires that enables the unit to blow cool air.  Well, a sloppy contractor we hired a while back failed to reconnect the wires.  However, we were rather impressed about Bruce's honesty as we were not there when he diagnosed and fixed the problem.  But he opened the unit and showed us exactly what caused the problem.  We were expecting a bill from Bruce for fixing the problem since we purchased a diagnosis-only service.  But we were quite surprised that he did not charge us for reconnecting the wires, and impressed about his honesty.  Because of this, we got him to replace our thermostat which was very old and complex.  He installed a much simpler one with a covered plate for a much reasonable price.  I must mention that Bruce is very detail oriented and experienced as well.  The old thermostat was rather large and installing a smaller one would have exposed the unpainted space the old thermostat occupied.  Anticipating this, Bruce suggested a thermostat with a cover plate, which will cover the unpainted portion. We didn't even think of that.  Again, he was courteous and professional and the work was great and we are a happy customer.  He's earned our business for the future.  If you are looking for an AC Contractor that is not only an expert in his field, but also professional, honest, considerate, courteous and clean, then look no further.  Do not hesitate.  Contact Harmon Heating & Air Conditioning and you won't be disappointed.  Thanks again Bruce...we truly appreciate your services.

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

On average, it takes one to four hours for a professional to install a garbage disposal. This includes removing the old unit, taking necessary measurements for positioning, removing and fitting new pipes, and installing the brand-new disposal system. If there are unforeseen issues, such as accessibility concerns, the process takes longer.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.
