From the minute they arrived, AJ was like a maestro conducting his very capable crew to establish a containment area to prevent dust and debri from permeating the rest of the house. Every effort was made to cover furniture, speakers and carpet with plastic. From there, it only got better. AJ and crew made short work of jack hammering the floor, tunneling under the existing paneled wall without disturbing the paneling and trim. This alone saved me a few thousand dollars on repair and replacement. His crew continuous swept and discarded debri to ensure a clean work area.. Without even asking, his guys installed the drains for our furnace condensation line, softener and dehumidifier within the french drain system. The coup de gras was a meticulous cleanup, which included wiping down the floor and walls, making it cleaner than when he started! I highly recommend AJ for all your waterproofing needs. "Excellent all around experience!!!!!!!! After a series of storms and gradual water soaking our basement carpet several times, I finally called Waterproofing One in April, 2017 after seeing their ad several times on our St. Basil's church bulletin. I spoke initially with the owner-Joe who was helpful and he dispatched Dave Cook who came over within an hour. Dave Cook has been in this business and related utility engineering previously for over 30 years and really knows his stuff. Dave was extremely thorough, spending time in the basement, looking at some pictures I took of the damage and spent a considerable amount of time walking around the exterior of my property and reviewing the landscaping where most problems start. Dave wrote up a report of what work was needed including extending downspouts, recommending we have our contractor add a louvered door at the top of the steps for aeration (a great idea given no windows in basement) , waterproofing the well water closet walls, spraying impacted area for potential mold, and installing a new French drain and sump-pump system with battery backup. Gene and his crew then came over on May 17, 2018 and performed the construction and installation work and did a great job. Those guys worked extremely hard in what is inherently a muddy line of work and were very courteous, professional and left the basement very clean. Gene took extra time to show us exactly what they were doing as they drilled holes into the lower cinder block walls, laying of the perforated pipe and some of the damp mold on the wooded studs he extracted at the impacted area. We paid exactly what Dave originally quoted! Dave Cook came back checked on things and made some other recommendations including adding stones around the foundation outside and in holes to avoid soil erosion and soften the acceleration of rain water into the ground. Once the work was finished and our carpenter redid the walls and painting, We had subsequently refinished the basement with high end vapor/mold resistant padding from Mohawk and a quality polyester carpet. 15 months later and here we are on September 30, 2019 after 50+ rain storms since installation and NO WATER nor Mold issues in the basement!!! We are really enjoying our basement again thanks to WATERPROOFING ONE!!!! 5-STARS!!!!!!!!"

"In the last few years, we've been getting huge puddles of water all over our basement floor. Never happened before. Some stretched all the way across the floor. Took hours of work with a shop vac to suck it up and days for the floor to dry. In mid-September, we hired Once & Done Waterproofing. They had the lowest price and specialize in our kind of problem. Work was completed in just one day and very tidily done. Very hard-working crew. But it was a leap of faith waiting to see if that work would be successful. Didn't rain for weeks after the sump pump system was installed beneath our basement floor. Weâ ve now had two really heavy rains. The floor remained bone dry after each of them. A little bit of water still did come in at the base of the outside basement entrance, as expected, but it got no further than the drain they installed in the floor at the door. The real test may not come until next springâ s monsoon season. But so far, so good. Based on preliminary results, I would not hesitate to hire them."

He took the time to explain each of the steps in the process ensuring that I understood everything he was going to do and what purpose it served. When it came to pricing, he was honest and fair and broke it down into the different components of the job. He answered some questions that I had when I was unsure of how long I wanted the drain to be. He came out to give me the estimate and even arranged to come out the next day to start the job. He finished the same day! After he finished, he took the time to clean up the basement, sweep, and made sure everything was back in place. "We started having issues with our foundation settling. We searched on line for foundation repair companies in our area. We decided to get 3 estimates. Because of their great reviews we called AFS first. Robert Stringfield showed up to explain our issues and gave us an estimate for the job needed. First of all Robert was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about foundation repair. He spent a great deal of time measuring and surveying the issues, causing our foundation to settle. He also found some mold that we were unaware of. He also observed some large cracks in our concrete driveway. After he completed his through inspection, he proceeded to show us the problems we were having by using pictures on his laptop. He then went into great detail explaining how AFS would take care of all of our issues, foundation, mold and driveway. He presented three options that we could choose from. 1. support to stabilize foundation. 2. support to stabilize foundation and install drain system with sump pump. 3. support to stabilize foundation and install drain system with sump pump and totally encapsulate the crawlspace. We chose the third option and decided to have our driveway repaired. AFS does offer low cost financing and a discount for package deals. Also included is a life time warranty, that covers a parts and labor, that is transferable should you sell your house. We also got estimates from RamJack and American Foundation Repair, but because of Robert and the great reviews AFS had, we chose them to do our job. The workers showed up on time and completed our job in five days. Everybody we dealt with at AFS was great! We would highly recommend AFS to get your job done. It was a very expensive job, but gave us the security of knowing it was done right. A rule I have learned over the years: Good work is not cheap. Cheap work is not good."
