"I had him come out to eval my sauna. He was extremely prompt, professional and friendly. He gave me a fair estimate and ordered my needed parts. He went above and beyond to ensure safety of use and recommended much needed electrical upgrades. He arrived to fix the sauna on the agreed day and time. Heâ s very thorough and I would recommend him to everyone. He cleaned up behind himself and reinforced everything discussed before he left. We were extremely pleased with how this experience went."

"This is the second time that Dig M Pools did and installation for us. Again we were very happy with the job they did. We purchased our pool from them and it is a well made product. The owners wife was very helpful when we were deciding what pool to purchase. I would recommend Dig M Pools as first choice. Excellent job. Thanks Dig M."

"Jason just finished up our master bathroom remodel. He is a skilled craftsman, does beautiful work and has great attention to detail. I am a type A person and Jason and I got along great! He brought me in on every decision and explained clearly what the options were. He worked well with my design and his expertise made it even better. (See the before and after photos.) We recommend Jason highly and will definitely look to hire him for our next project! ?"

"Technician came to my house. It was a very busy day so the owner sent his assistant. His assistant wasn't sure what the issue was, he also was having issues with getting the hvac unit opened, so he called the owner to come and review what was wrong. The owner came and reviewed the unit. He eventually decided to add frion. The unit started working."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.
