"I hired this group after my dad passed away to clear his old camp trailer from the property it sat on and have had the worst experience. The contracted job is not done though the group has cashed my check in addition to taking anything valuable out of the structure before being torn down and hauled away as part of the deal. To date, one year later the structure still stands with very little work done. I have been given excuse after excuse but nothing has moved forward. I am now left with having to spend even more money on a new company I have to contact to complete the job as there was a deadline for when this needed to be removed. No one from this company, including owner Herb has responded to my recent calls, texts or emails. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone."

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.

Many ceiling fan-rated electrical boxes tend to be made of metal. However, some electrical boxes may also be made of heavy-duty plastic that is reinforced with metal support structures. It may also have an attachment that connects directly to a ceiling joist. If you’re removing a ceiling fan without visible screws, start by locating the fan canopy—a round cover placed above the fan blades and motor. There should be a thin ring that can be turned counterclockwise to remove the canopy and reveal the screws. After unscrewing the fan, you can disconnect the wires and remove the entire fan from the mounting hardware. For safety, make sure the fan switch is turned off before you remove the canopy. It may be easier to remove the fan blades first, too.

If the fan doesn’t have a switch, connect the white wire from the ceiling to the white wire from the fan; connect the green wire to the ground wire; connect both black wires; and connect both blue wires. If yours has a switch, the white and green wires are connected the same way. However, connect the ceiling’s red wire to the light’s black wire and the ceiling’s black wire to the fan’s black wire.
