After moving here to Pennsylvania I got the opportunity to work on the magnificent and historic Colerain Mansion in Spruce Creek. A massive home built in 1790 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior. It is currently owned by celebrated author Dorothy Gray (Gurney). And it was at the insistence of Mrs. Gurney that I started Thompson Family Painting Company.
