My Furnace blower fan wasn't running properly. Called Jed Heating and Cooling for service. Everything went well from beginning to end. A kind woman answered phone promptly and scheduled a service call at my earliest convenience. The service technician called before arrival to let me know he was on his way. Arrived with a professional appearance and manner. Checked everything out about my furnace and replaced the furnace blower fan. Was here for about an hour. Very good experience! I did not get any other estimates. Had my furnace for 21 years and this the first service I had to have in those years. I own a Trane furnace.

Jeff and Tim introduced themselves when they arrived. They were friendly and explained the problems of the old furnace and identified potential air conditioner problems and what to look for. They cleaned up after themselves and explained everything that was completed. They have always been quick to respond when there has been problems with the old furnace. They also stabilized some of the old ducts. They explained how to use the new thermostat.

They were very good at explaining what my options were on types of equipment. They understand the science behind it all to make sure I was getting the right size of unit for my home. I compared the price and they were competitive with others.

I have used them for years. They have all done my work at persona house and rental properties for ten years. I have been very happy with them. When I have broken down a/c or furnace they reply right away. I have older tenants and they are really patient with them.

We granted the bid based on liaison's commitment to provide speedy installation when needed with sufficient staff to complete it quickly. We granted this over a lower bid due to these commitments. Liaison then went AWOL on us and the company, resulting in jeopardizing our move in target. Owner appropriately responded with making us a priority but we lost a week in the construction process due to weak staffing and the delays. Despite having blueprints for bidding, they failed to consider all work required by the blueprints, and refused to do the work missed in their planning without further compensation. Final finish up work was delayed another week due to inadequate supply of necessary parts. We had to pay extra for completion of work that the other bidder would have done for a lower bid. JED owner then contested our proposed adjustment to the final bill to compensate for the actual cost of our paying others to complete the work JED was responsible for, and accused us of inflating the cost of this work. It was $700 on a $29,000 job. Rather than taking responsibility for the firm's error, he accused us of trying to cheat him. Communication, execution and accountability are weak. Quality of work was good.

I am very high on the people that did my furnace work. They have a program which is really nice, it cost me about $160 a year and you pay for it in advance. Then they schedule the appointment in the spring and they come out and do your air conditioning unit. They wash it all out with the hose and everything, test and make sure everything is working properly. Then they come back again in the fall and do your furnace. I would highly recommend them.They did the initial installation. They are scheduled to come out on the 25th.    

They are just very professional. This package deal, it saves you money all along the way. You save 10% on parts, they don?t charge you service calls if something goes wrong. There is a lot of savings involved in this. It?s maintenance that you need to do anyway. These are just some additional by-products of the service they provide. I am very well pleased with it. I am very satisfied with the work that they do and the services that they provide. They are just a very professional company. The installation was absolutely perfect.  

Initially when I first built the house, I was told it was a 2 ½ ton outside air conditioning unit. When they came in, they told me it was only a 2 ton. I had them put a 2 ½ ton in and it made a world of difference. I have a 2-story house and it was never cool enough upstairs. It was a world of difference with the new unit. It cost somewhere between $4,000 & $5,000. At that time, the government was offering a $1,500 rebate if you had an energy efficient furnace. He replaced the older one with an energy efficient one, so I actually got a $1,500 tax credit.

JED is very professional and punctual. I recommend them to family and friends. Two thumbs up. They also recommended how I can clean my electronic air cleaners myself, until my next annual maintenance, who does that? I recommend them to everyone.

Jed is very easy to work with. When our furnace stopped working in the middle of a frigid cold spell last year, they came out that day and got it running again. They are punctual, and they call when they're on their way. They're very polite and professional. They don't push extra sales/services immediately. For example today, he told us that some part on our furnace will need to be replaced in the next year or two. I think a lot of places would have tried to sell it right then. I definitely recommend them!

The provider responded quickly to the initial call.  Our A/C unit had quit working with temperatures in the 80's.  The initial diagnosis was that the unit needed cleaned, and the filter had to be replaced.  The A/C inside coil had frozen up, and had to be thawed.  The first serviceman replaced the clogged filter, and told us he had cleaned the outside unit.  Cost $306.00.
The next day the unit quit working; it would start up, then immediately shut off.  Again the response was reasonably rapid.  This time we were told that the capacitor in the electrical connection was bad.  The serviceman replaced the capacitor; cost $136.  
The next day the unit quit working again.  I told the office that under no circumstances were they to send the same workman, a young man named Jason.  They sent an older workman, Jay, for the third trip.  He said that the outside unit was filthy, and desperately needed to be cleaned.  He checked the capacitor, and verified that it was working properly.  He sprayed the outside filters with a foul-smelling chemical, which caused all sorts of dirt to flow out.  He then took our hose, and hosed off the filters from the inside of the unit.  His pressure gauges showed that the pressure in the system was still too high, so he examined the coil in the inside unit.  He found that a tube on top of the coil that helped regulate the pressure was bad.  Because the model number of the coil had worn off, he said he could not replace just the tube, but would need to replace the entire coil.  This service call was done for no charge.  The next day I received a call from the manager of the business, offering to replace the coil for $800.  He did say that it was questionable whether we should put that much money into repairing such an old unit, and recommended getting a new A/C system for $2700.  When I pointed out that we had already paid $442 and still had no functioning A/C, he told me he would install the new unit for only $2500.   I declined his offer at this time.

Came on Monday morning and started the 2 day project. Everything they did was very professional and informative !!  Finished the project on Tuesday. Went over everything with us. gave us some tips to use also. Highly recommend this company !!

  As above.   A new electric furnace was installed, along with an air conditioner    additional duct work and pipes had to be replaced and extended to the back bedrooms.   Jay and fellow workers went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the work and met our needs.   They were professional, and extremely knowledgeable of their task and work.

We were very pleased with them and the work they performed.    I would hire and refer them to others

Price was better than other contractors we contacted.  We had already purchased the water heater; the rest of the materials JED provided.  Workers showed up on time and worked very efficiently and cleanly.  When we had a problem several days later due to a leak, the same guy who installed the water heater came back to install a pressure reducer on the water line because nobody had ever put one on.  While they were there working, I asked for some small projects like the water line to the fridge and they were more than willing to do those things while they were already there.  Now that it's 6 months later and we've actually gotten to use the central air, I can't even begin to express how pleased I am.  Due to the size of the house, we only needed a small unit.  They never tried to upsell something we didn't need and it works wonderfully.

Furnace quit working and the serviceman responded that day. He did a temporary fix and inspected the furnace denoting that the 17-year old furnace needed replaced as he discovered a cracked heat exchanger also. He additionally told us that the old furnace was actually the wrong fit for the houses square footage. We ordered the appropriate energy efficient unit which came with a 5 and 10 year guarantee for basic hardware. The unit has provided quiet operation and we have already see our electric bill go down.  The unit was installed two days after the original servicing and the installation was clean and done in a few hours. RECOMMEND JED for you air conditioning or furnace servicing needs. Knowledgeable, friendly & efficient company to deal with.

I was very pleased with their services from beginning to end.  Rick was prompt in scheduling an estimate to replace our furnace and air conditioner.  He thoroughly explained our options and the pros and cons of each unit.  He addressed all of our questions and we felt no pressure to spend more money or act quickly. (We had another estimate from a company that was constantly trying to "up-sell" us).  It took a couple of weeks for us to decide and once we did Rick was able to schedule the installation the next week.  The technicians arrived promptly, were extremely polite, and cleaned everything up after working each day. The followup by the company has also been outstanding.  Within days of installation, we received all of the warranty paperwork that had been registered with Carrier and a very nice thank you note.  One of the reasons that I chose JED was not only because of their rating on Angie's List, but also because of their immaculate rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Installers arrived on time and the work was completed on time. Workers were very professional and courteous. Damage was done to steps leading to second floor. The installers pointed out the damage and did not try to hide it. Owner called the next day and stated the company would be responsible to repair the damage. The company contacted a repairman and the work was completed in a timely manner and to satisfaction. This company not only did the contracted work to satisfaction but took responsibility for any errors and corrected them in a timely manner and to the home owners satisfaction.
