Troy Granite company specialize on Granite Countertops, Quartz, Soapstone, Engineered Stone, Kitchen Renovation, Bathroom Renovation. We have 25 year experience with 3 location in USA. Our Pittsburgh location is the biggest granite slab gallery in Pittsburgh. Troy Granite currently serve around Delaware, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh.

"We contacted many companies in the Pittsburgh area about new countertops--probably a dozen. Troy Granite had about the best pricing and Ertan was very responsible and thorough in answering our many questions. The measuring and imaging of our slab's layout was done in a very professional way. The installation, including backsplash, went smoothly--even though we had some irregularities in our existing cabinets that support the granite. The results are beautiful. Would definitely recommend trying them. Would also recommend Daltile for choosing a granite slab."

In addition to providing quality workmanship and knowledge we seek to build lasting relationships with customers. We look to make projects happen in an orderly and timely manner at a price that is fair to us and to our customers. We have a growing group of trusted sub contractors who perform work for us including but not limited to electrical and plumbing. Our company believes in being honest, clean and prompt. These values are required of any sub-contractor hired by us.

"We had a major renovation of our whole first floor done two years ago, including removing two walls, and then smaller jobs done since then. They are extremely conscientious, and worked with us closely to make sure things were what we wanted with no surprises, and they were responsive when things weren't quite what we wanted, to make it right, at no extra charge. They also had a good artistic sense, being involved in the design process to suggest several nice features, and they also have made suggestions several times that saved us significant money. Early on, there were communication issues with them not getting back to us quickly, but more recently there has been no problem with that. I think they had some issues with communication due to the rapid growth of their business that have now been worked out."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

To remove kitchen cabinets, you’ll need a drill, putty knife, utility knife, hammer, and pry bar. A saw may also be necessary to cut materials into smaller pieces. Wear work gloves and safety glasses for protection, and have a helper handy to support heavy cabinets as you remove them.

If your kitchen cabinets don't have screws holding them together or holding them to the wall, an adhesive is likely doing the work of keeping them in place. To remove cabinets that stay in place with adhesive, use a pry bar to loosen them from each other and the wall. Have a partner support the cabinet's weight as you work if it's a wall unit. Some wall repair may be necessary afterward.

No, and that’s why adding kitchen cabinets to the ceiling is popular! Whether you match the color of your existing cabinets or not, you can still paint your cabinet boxes with them attached to the wall—making this project much less invasive.

For outdoor kitchen cabinets, choose wood that is naturally more weather-resistant. Teak, Brazilian walnut, white oak, and mahogany are all excellent choices. Avoid pine, cedar, and other softwoods, as they are more susceptible to damage and catch fire quickly. No matter what type of wood you choose, you’ll need to apply sealants, oils, and stains regularly to protect your cabinets from harm.

Custom cabinets made from solid wood tend to last the longest, remaining in good condition for 20 to 50 years. Cabinet lifespan depends on upkeep, the amount of heat and moisture inside the home, and general wear and tear. Popular hardwood options include oak, cherry, maple, walnut, and hickory. Its longevity means that solid wood is more expensive than alternative materials like furniture board, laminate, and plywood. The average cost of solid wood cabinets ranges from $100 to $1,200 per linear foot.
