"Rob and Mike showed up on time, or informed me of any delay. The crew showed up and did a great job, especially since access to the trees was a little difficult. They gave me a good price and I was very pleased with their work. I would hire them agaiin."

"Ryan did an excellent job trimming my shrubs, discarding some trees, uprooting a magnolia tree that was threatening the foundation of my home and making my landscape look so much better! He also went above and beyond, showing professionalism, being very helpful and kind. I highly recommend him!"

"They are focused on masonry work and are knowledgeable. They volunteered photos of prior work giving me confidence. Brick repointing is expensive as I learned, the prices can vary a lot. I found their cost estimates reasonable and clearly from specialists in this kind of work. Overall happy with the work done, dealing with individuals."

"A thoroughly professional experience from beginning to end. Everyone we dealt with acted/responded promptly, showed up on time with a can-do attitude, and did what they said they would do. When the crew doing the work realized they could not get their equipment through our rear neighbors' narrow driveway (as the estimator thought they could), they immediately came up with a different plan, to do it from the front. This they carried out amazingly fast--and safely. They finished the job to our satisfaction in the allotted time despite the change in method. We then made a mistake on the check we gave them. Ashley in the office caught that and called the next morning."

"Courteous and explained procedure clearly. Made an extra effort to clean up wood chips and raked out soil and other wood shavings to leave a flat surface. Would highly recommend this company."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Yes, healthy and well-placed large trees can boost property value by an average of 3% to 15%. They improve curb appeal, offer energy savings through shade and wind protection, and are often considered by appraisers during home valuation. On the flip side, removing dead or hazardous trees can also increase value by eliminating safety risks. For the biggest return, choose low-maintenance, native species that thrive in your climate.

Consumers typically do not need to worry about the cost of tree insurance, as professional tree service companies pay for their own coverage. For a tree service business, an average U.S. policy covering about $1 million in general liability costs roughly $40 a month or $500 a year. More extensive policies, providing between $500,000 to $2 million in coverage, can cost between $3,000 and $6,000 annually, depending on the company's size and scope of work. Tree service professionals should speak with an insurance company to determine the right plan for their business.

If you don’t cut down a dead, dying, or diseased tree, it can become a nesting place for pests like mosquitos, bees, beetles, wasps, fly larvae, and more. Some pests will live in the tree, while others will feed off the decaying wood. Unhealthy trees are also more likely to fall over, potentially injuring people and causing damage to your property.

Yes, burning wood with Dutch elm disease is a safer way to dispose of it than, say, tossing it in with the rest of your yard waste, which could potentially allow it to spread to healthy trees. But it’s always a good idea to check with your local government to make sure you’re complying with any ordinances about removing diseased trees as well as burning brush piles.

Dying trees and even dead trees can spread diseases to other living trees. There are many different types of tree diseases, so it’s essential to address the issue as soon as possible to prevent the disease from spreading to other healthy trees. If the tree cannot be saved and is infected, you need to have it removed to protect the other trees on your property.
