"Cory and Colton arrived on the time schedule, did a survey on the apartment and quickly started moving the furniture. They were very professional and did the best they could to finish as early as possible."

"After meeting with Chris I needed to think about his bid as I had received bids from a couple of other people. This surprised him as he thought I would go forward immediately. I thought about it overnight and decided to go with him. He was the middle bid. On the starting day, he came with two other men. He gave them directions and left one man to complete the job. His assistant was very polite and accommodating. When he finished painting, he had done a fantastic job. The vent project was done after the painting. Chris completed this. Again, the work done was exceptionally. Having had some of my items moved from the basement to the first floor, I requested that one of Chris' crew help me move them back. As it turned out, the items were moved back before I got home (from work)."

Moving questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should get a full month’s notice for a move date. If you’re renting, your landlord or property management company is required to give the same amount of notice as your pay period length. So, if you pay rent each month, they will need to give you a month’s notice unless your leasing agreement says otherwise.

Moving a kitchen cabinet can be extremely tricky for DIYers, especially if it's attached to plumbing, electrical outlets, or walls. The project requires meticulous planning, the right tools, and some muscle, not to mention a friend or two to help. While experienced do-it-yourselfers can manage it, hiring a pro is often safer to avoid damaging cabinets, countertops, or surrounding fixtures.

Focus on decluttering when downsizing to move cross-country. Selling, donating, or recycling unwanted items early in your moving process is key to your success. If you are on the fence about some items, consider storage options, or you can ship these items separately to lessen your load.

Although purchasing moving insurance will add to the total cost of your move, it might take a weight off your shoulders. Moving insurance covers roughly 60 cents per pound. If you’re moving several antique or fragile items, you may want to invest in moving insurance covering damage or item losses.

No, not tipping movers isn’t considered rude. Tipping is optional, not expected. There are plenty of alternative ways to show your appreciation without tipping.
