Nelson Tree Company

Excellent job!! After leaving a small deposit at the time of estimate and a reasonably short time later, there is no sign of the tree at all !! Couldn't be happier!! This is the second job I have had done by Nelson. He is definitely my "go to guy"!!

Mr. Nelson and his crew cut up part of the tree that had been blown over and then came and told me the work was done.  I was working from home at the time so I trusted him and paid him.  later that day i checked out the job and saw that only part of the tree had been cut up and removed.  I called Mr. nelson to make sure that he was coming back to finish the job, but he insisted that had done all that was on the contract.  After revisiting the contract that we both signed, it stated specifically that he would cut up and remove the tree that had been blown over.  I talked to Mr. Nelson again to try and explain  that I expected him to cut up and remove the entire part of the tree that had been blown over, per our discussion and contract, but he cut me off  and wouldn't let me finish my sentence.  He ranted on about how busy he was with the storm and I let him talk for about 10 minutes.  Again i tried to explain to him that he hadn't finished the job agreed upon, and he cut me off again and again with a nasty attitude.  Despite the fact that I maintained calm the entire time, he finally hung up on me and wouldn't answer any future phone calls or call me back.
 i've talked to several neighbors since my experience, and they have had negative experiences with him as well.  I don't see him doing work in this neighborhood anymore due to his reputation. i'm sure that Mr. Nelson and his crew do fine work on many jobs.  But unfortunately his ignorance to listen to his customers and only perform the work that he decides that he wants to do has diminished his reputation in our neighborhood.

All done in a friendly and professional manner, Mr. Nelson and his crew both. It all went well from initial contact to job completion. Very prompt. When discussing what we wanted done, Mr. Nelson, displayed very good knowledge of trees and what is good for them and what is not. We had an arborist review our tree situation. He said the same things as Mr. Nelson. My wife and I have been in the Master Gardener programs in Colorado and Pennsylvania for 6.5 years.

I had contacted Nelson Tree Co. through email on their website after finding great reviews on Angies List to get an estimate on tree removal and stump grinding.  That same day Randall Nelson had showed up at my house hours later to give me a great estimate which I agreed to.
My 20 year old flowering plum tree that was in my front yard was quite diseased and not worth saving.
Randall had said that within a couple of weeks, he would be in touch to take down the tree.
About a week later the tree was gone when I returned from work.  There was no sign of debris from the cut down tree or the stump grinding.  At first I didn't even notice it gone and then I did a double take.  They did an excellent job.  I was especially impressed with the grinding of the stump..well below the surface of the surrounding yard.
I couldn't be more happy with the work they did !
I highly recommend this company to everyone!

Everything went good.

Came when he said he would. He also removed an extra branch and two other small trees that were revealed when larger trees were removed. He also cut and stacked wood for me which was not part of our initial agreement. Clean up was thorough.

Had to postpone because of weather, but other arrangements were made and the work was done in a day. The crew arrived on time and worked like a well oiled machine. Very nice crew that was very knoweldgeable. The yard was left clean.

They fulfilled their contact, but I would have liked more information upfront. My back yard was torn up and they did not include anything in the contract for repair, nor did they warn me about..

Our overall experience was very good. They did a great job removing a large fallen tree from on top of fence. They cleaned up the area and removed all debris.

I CALLED RANDY AND LEFT A MESSAGE. HE CALLED BACK THE NEXT DAY AND SAID HE WOULD GET TO MY HOUSE and GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. THE NEXT DAY HE CALLED ME AT WORK WITH THE PRICE AND I SAID DO IT. HE SAID IN ABOUT 1 OR 2 WEEKS, BUT IN 2 DAYS HE WAS AT THE HOUSE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.
