Bug and Insect Pest Control Service
$200
Cappa Wildlife Control is an incredible service. Pete is versed in the behavior and biology of any species we encounter in Western Pennsylvania. He also has a vast knowledge of building and structural components applicable to invasion of pests. I live in a heavily wooded area on a lakeshore, which brings in many animal, bird, and insect guests. My home was built in 1847 which makes it tricky to control. Pete has been successful on several projects here. He is prompt, competitively priced, and a pleasure to do business with. As a former botanist and arborist, I highly recommend Cappa?s for their safe, ethical, and effective management practices.

Called first thing in the morning when I saw the skunk in the trap. They called back quickly. Described what could be done. Came within an hour. Released the skunk in he yard, at my request. Was sensitive to the animal. Provided advice on how to avoid catching there skunk again. And on how to trap the intended animal, a groundhog. Reasonably priced at $75. Tipped him to $90. Couldn't ask for better service.

Talked to Pete and expained the problem. He told me a price upfront of what it would cost to look for the problem. He told me he would be at my house in 20 minutes. He arrived at the time he said he would. Pete found a dead opossum at the very back of the crawlspace and removed it. I thought the price charged was reasonable.

Pete got back to me within 24 hours of my initial call. He made a visual inspection of the house perimeter and was able to pinpoint holes in my dormer gable where squirrels had previously made holes with an inspection of the interior and exterior attic. He was able to reattach loose wood on the porch where an animal could get in. He set traps on the roof and a squirrel was caught and the nest removed within 3 days of my initial call. He is courteous, professional and knowledgeable and did provide humane treatment for the animals throughout the process.

Pete is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. We had a raccoon move into a crawl space under our home and we definitely were aware that it was exploring our floorboards and possibly more areas of our home! Calling Pete was the best thing we did to solve the problem. He came out the day we talked on the phone, and set a couple traps in the area. In less than a week our problem visitor was removed and Pete sealed the entry to the crawl space so that this wouldn't happen again. He clearly knew what he was doing, and he came by every day for about a week to check the area and make sure the problem was truly solved. We recommend Cappa Wildlife Control Services, and would call again for similar problems.

Pete is very professional and knowledgeable. We knew where the squirrels were getting in and he was able to set traps around that opening in our gutter and on the roof. He was concerned about the animals and waited a few days for it to warm up before setting them(they would freeze to death if trapped overnight in sub-zero weather). As soon as an animal was caught, he came out right away to get it. I especially liked that he had a way to determine if the squirrels were still coming in and out of the hole. Lastly, he closed up the hole where they were entering the house and another place where they might be able to get in. Excellent service.

Pete was great! He arrived within 2 hours of our call and worked quickly to resolve our bird issue. The birds weren't up there while Pete was here, and their nests were empty, so Pete only had to do cleanup and repair work instead of removal. His pricing was more than fair and he was great with our nosy (and noisy) dogs, who assumed he must have come over just to pet them. We've been bird-free since Pete solved how they were getting in (although we do hear them stop by the gables and shout at us every once in a while!)

It was a pleasure working with Mr. Cappa (I now call him the "squirrel whisperer") from start to finish. He responded to my call in a timely fashion and, upon arriving at my house, he was able to promptly start setting up multiple squirrel traps outside my garage, where it turned out a family of squirrels had set up housekeeping up in the rafters. Mr. Cappa returned every day to check on the traps and over the course of the next 3 days the entire family (including babies) had been trapped humanely and released to a less urban environment. Mr. Cappa then did an incredibly professional job sealing up the squirrel access point to the garage. He used metal plate to cover the squirrel entryway that was actually color matched to the exterior paint I had used to paint the garage molding. Also, his price was very reasonable and he was very personable with a lot of interesting stories to tell, as one would expect from his line of work. You cannot go wrong choosing Cappa Wildlife Control Services for any type of animal removal work.

Pete was able to identify the two entrances on our roof right away. He then set up traps and the squirrel was captured several days later. Pete was very professional. He even plugged the two holes for us without charging us. I highly recommend Pete for your animal removal need.

Pete located both entrances within 1/2 hour.Setup and baited 2 traps on each side.explained process in great detail. First one caught 2nd day.Came within short time and removed. Reset another trap.Caught 2 within same cage next day. Came same day and removed both.Set another trap. Determined other location not active and removed the two traps. Sealed up entrance.Next day caught another and removed same day.Set 1 more, marked area to see amount of activity. Caught another one next day. Came and removed trap.Determined nest empty and resealed that entrance.Total of 5 squirrels caught within 5 days, all removed and holes sealed. One of the best workers I have had at my house, his knowledge was beyond belief about his profession. I would recommend him to anyone and would absolutely rehire him. TOP CLASS GUY IN ALL WAYS SKILLS AND PERSONALITY.

"I could not in good faith accept money for something that was not in the client's best interest. Raccoons do NOT neatly pile twigs into a nest. The raccoons captured were most likely just "passing through" and were unfortunate enough to get caught. I take each client's concerns seriously, but I will not perform a service or charge a client for something, in my experience, which is unnecessary."

Pete was great!  Called him on a Tuesday and he was out by Thursday am to set a trap.  Friday morning, we didn't have a ground hog, but had a racoon, who was "reloated" later in the morning.  Sometime Saturday, during the day, we got the ground hog.  As I was gone all day, I didn't get to call Pete until after 6 PM. Although he had checked the trap Saturday morning, he said he could come out that night or Sunday morning.  (I didn't want the ground hog in my yard - but i didn't want him to suffer until Monday either.)  Before 7:30 Sunday morning Pete was out to collect the animal and the cage.  He also took the time to check around the shed, and using available materials, blocked off the access to under the shed. Cappa's price to set the trap was less than the 2 other places I called and his removal was less than 1/2 of the others.  I would hightly recommend this company.  Not only becasue of their price, but also becuse of the service quality.

Pete examined the property inside and out to identify where the squirrels were entering the home. He set traps and returned promptly to remove the squirrels and reset the traps. He was very thorough in examining the property and assessing and explaining the damage that had been done and recommending what I needed to do about that. I would very highly recommend this company.

It went great.  Pete Cappa (owner) did the job himself.  He carefully set three traps and ensured that no pets could get in the traps..  He even put a little roof on the live trap so the groundhog would not get too hot or uncomfortable after being caught.  It was caught the same day.  He visited the traps every day and took the groundhog away without bothering me.  He also carefully reset the trap.  The next day, to my surprise, another groundhog was in the trap.  Again, he came on his own and removed the groundhog and reset the trap.  When no more groundhogs entered the traps, he dismantled the traps and even volunteered to fill in the holes, which was not part of the agreement.  His truck looks good, and he conducts himself very professionally, so the neighbors had not comments.  For all the visits and all the time spent setting the traps, the fee is very reasonable.  I strongly recommend Pete and will definitely call him again when groundhogs return.

Pete was very knowledgeable, prompt, and professional.  He very quickly assessed the problem and found the hole in the fascia where the squirrels were entering the attic.  Working around difficult weather conditions and dodging snow on the roof, Pete was able to trap the squirrels and seal the entry hole to prevent further intrusions into the attic.  I found his company through recommendations on Angie's List, and I will also add my recommendation as well.  The grades I gave him are accurate and worthy - not exaggerated.

My house painters discovered a squirrel's nest in my roof and I called several wildlife control businesses listed on Angie's List, including Critter Control, whom I had used in the past.    Pete Cappa was among the most responsive, and his prices were the best.  He arrived promptly, did his work efficiently, and didn't even charge as much as he should have.  And he's a very nice man.

I saw squirrels entering the facia under my roof gutters. The squirrels were pulling insulation from the soffit and facia, building a nest and were very destructive. They were nesting over my back door. One of them fell, hitting the ground right in front of me. It scared me so bad. I found Pete Cappa through Angie's List. I called him and he met me at my house. He put 2 traps along the roof line and 1 trap suspended on the side of my house. After a day, 2 of the traps caught squirrels. About 1 day later, 2 squirrels were caught in 1 trap. A couple of days later, 1 squirrel was trapped. Each time squirrels were trapped, Pete returned to remove them and reset the traps. He relocated the squirrels miles away. Before he completed the job, he advised me to plug the entry and repair the facia as soon as possible, which I did. Ironically, my neighbor contacted me 2 weeks later. While in an upstairs bedroom, she saw squirrels entering a hole in her porch roof. She called me to ask me for the telephone number of the person who removed the squirrels from my roof. I was only too glad to provide her with his number. Not only did he trap, remove and relocate 3 squirrels from her property, he trimmed the branches the squirrels were using to access the porch.

Pete was fantastic.  He worked me into his schedule within 2 hours of my initial phone call.  He was professional and after I explained my problem and what I heard, he knew exactly where to look.  He efficiently removed the dead animals and produced a mesh cover for the place on the roof where the animals entered.  His rate was reasonable and he completed the work quickly being alert to the fact I had a commitment in the afternoon.  When I initially called him, he explained that depending upon where the animal was located, he might not be able to remove it.  I appreciate the honesty.  I had been referred to another critter control company and after placing a follow-up call to my initial call decided to join Angie's List for other alternatives.  That's where I found Pete Cappa, who had an A rating.  48 hours after my first call to the other company, I have still not received a response.  If they didn't want to do the job, they could have had the courtesy of at least calling to tell me so.  Very bad customer service.  But, at least that led me to Pete who was outstanding and whom I will refer to anyone I know needing his services

A female raccoon and three young raccoons showed up on our patio, chasing out two groundhogs who lived in hollowed-out area below the patio corner to another part of the yard (we had been trying to remove them earlier). Mr. Cappa laid several traps and managed them very carefully, monitoring the situation daily. In the end, one raccoon and a groundhog were caught. Mr. Cappa then filled the opening and screened it carefully. He also showed me how to bait a humane trap I have. We were very satisfied and I recommend his services strongly.
