"I supposedly won their contest at the State College Home Show 2022 for $1200 certificate. Rep came out and knew nothing about giving me the prize I won. Should have seen this as red flag. Window and entry door replaced anyway. Like the window. BUT, the door has major air draft coming in down the side and across the bottom. Have been calling repeatedly for 2 months leaving multiple messages- no return call since back in October. Company sent me letter 11/30 and called me that evening trying to get me to hire them to do more work. Assured me they would send someone to correct problem with initial work. Still have not received phone call or service visit from anyone in this company. Don't enter their contests at Home shows- I think they use this as way to get into your home to sell you their company when you haven't really won anything. and don't hire them to do any work. They will not fix any problems!!"

The bill came in double, and the work was adequate at best. I tried to work with the owner to come to an agreement. I asked him to come out and look at the work to justify the cost. He said he was "a busy man". I asked for an itemized list for the ridiculous parts bill. He said," that isn't done". Don't be fooled by previous positive reviews, this is a NEW OWNER. "Clint remodeled my upstairs and downstairs bathrooms in 2019. I originally thought he had done a great job, but my naivety got the best of me. I brushed off things like paint splatters and runs (though he made multiple comments on the pride he took on his paint work), and tile not set flush or with even/consistent grout gaps (he blamed it on my old house w no right angles/flat walls or floors), but I didn't have a great frame of reference back then. Clint went MIA mid way through the project, ghosting me only responding after I reached out to the design consultants that subcontracted him. He said he had ran into health/family complications, along with other prior scheduled projects, but his lack of communication left me to wonder. He eventually returned but technically never completed my bathrooms, as he never finished the upstairs threshold. Worst thing was his choice of metal flashing for the shower pan. I just had to demo the entire shower due to corrosion and leaks to downstairs. "

Epoxy is the best sealer for concrete countertops. It fills in gaps, rough areas, and imperfections for a smooth finish and will usually last the life of the concrete. Other options include acrylic and polyurethane sealers, which protect the countertops from stains but must be reapplied every few years to maintain proper surface protection.

You can resurface existing countertops as long as they’re not significantly damaged. Of course, it does depend on the material.   • Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair

  • Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors

You should never use gritty or abrasive cleaners to clean your Formica countertops, and the same goes for scouring sponges, steel wool, or anything acid-based like vinegar. Formica can't handle high heat, so never place anything fresh from the oven or off the stovetop on a laminate surface because it will scorch.
