"Corey and his wife are courteous, skilled, and diligent workers. They made clear in writing exactly what they would do to resurface our deck and make the stairs safe. The estimate of cost was reasonable and fair. Corey solved one unforeseen problem in our deck stairs without raising the price. He and his assistant/wife work quietly and efficiently, and they cleaned up well after the job was done. The only sign that they had been there was a little sawdust in the back yard. We would hire him again â and hope to, as home-maintenance problems arise. Corey has the good, old-fashioned American work ethic. He takes pride in his work. Also heâ s easy to communicate with by phone. Five stars!"

To use a very tired expression, "OMG" it was a wonderful experience.  I am a person who is reluctant about people in my home.  Tony was a welcome experience.  He was very friendly and fun.  Did his job perfectly.  Removed drywall ceiling and one wall.  Put up new drywall.  We have a glass block window in the room and during the year there was terrible ice buildup under the roofs here in Pittsburgh, there was damage around the window.  Tony redid all that.  Installed a new medicine cabinet and light bar, which we had purchased.  We also purchased the paint.  Actually by purchasing these, we got what we wanted.

We added a couple items to our 'to do' list; such as, an outside motion sensitive light over the garage (ours did not work anymore) and installation of a new light bar in our main bathroom. 

I must tell you, we have found a new fix-it-replace it firm. Tammy, the contact lady, is very helpful and  informative.  You can add or subtract from your requests as you wish.  I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!!.  My husband says we found a company to do all the things he cannot do anymore.  Ignore the B on the Price rating.  They are very competitive.  You get what you pay for.

"The owners (Chris and Cal) did an excellent job on our remodeled project. They were personally involved with the project and worked directly with us during the entire planning and implementation of the work. They were true craftsmen. We wanted a contractor who could do the entire project and C&C fit the bill. They performed the drywall, flooring, windows, painting, electrical, and structural part of the job. "I had been looking for someone to build a steps/ramp & additional deck on to our pool for a very long time & I finally found the right man for job - Rob with Cox home improvement. "This was my third time working with this contractor and each project was a pleasurable experience! As was the case with the other two, they started this project on time and finished on time! All the work was done according to strict Mount Lebanon code. They made suggestions based upon their experience i.e we wanted a six foot high shadow box fence but while Mount Lebanon code allows for a six foot high privacy fence of just about any style, they do not allow, by code, a six foot high shadowbox fence. Steve Hilpert proceeded to build us a 4 foot high shadowbox fence (the maximum height allowed by code) with a custom built 2 foot high trellis section which Mount Lebanon subsequently approved. The fence looks beautiful!
I was nervous about cutting a big hole in the wall of our addition to install the sliding glass door. Now the door looks like it has been there all along! It came out PERFECTLY!
The deck is also beautiful and solid as a rock! We had an issue with the location of our two central air conditioning units off the back of the house. The other contractors (which I found here on Angie's List as well) said they would just build over these units. Not knowing anything about central air conditioning this seemed reasonable to me. Steve was the ONLY contractor who told me that you absolutely CAN NOT block the air flow above the units! Not only that, he was honest enough to tell me that moving the units should be done by a qualified HVAC contractor. Now that is a contractor you can trust!
All work was completed on time and within budget. The same crew arrived early each day and were polite and professional. The job site was spotless at the end of each day!
If you are looking for a trustworthy, professional contractor, you can not go wrong with SC Hilpert!!!"

"A year ago, they probably started to do the work at the end of last December 2012. I believe that it paid around $20000. Not quite an awning, it was just that our roof did not have an extra foot of the back of it, protect from water getting into our windows and going down through the sidings, our house was made with that one. So, it was an extra foot that was in the back of the entire roof. They were very reliable and friendly. Some of the days were down and select the 20 of last December when they were working and they still would show up and do it much because they could in the freezing cold. Now, as well, there was one little issue we had after everything was done about a week later, something is trying to look a little bit loose, we called them up, they sent somebody out immediately to fix the problem. They had occurred for us. They did a really nice job with the siding, everything looks great, and they work in the freezing cold and came as they needed to, definitely for few hours each day, as much work as they put down as they could. We had people come as well and they were still like all comfortable to everybody that came. They did a really nice job."

"The crew was on time each day. They were professional and easy to work with. They patched and painted the deck and ceiling of my garage to stop the leaking into my workshop.The job came out real good. They had to move the furniture off my deck and some woodworking equipment from my workshop all went well. The real test for this repair will be when it rains later this week and there is no more leak. I would recommend A + for your future projects."
