"This job initially started out great. I got 5 competitive bids and chose Thermal Quality based on price and I liked the look of their capping (its curved and not boxy like most replacement window capping). Fran, the company rep, was informative and responsive. One of my major requirements was that the project had to be completed by mid-October because I was going overseas, which gave them 10 weeks. Fran assured me that my timeframe would be met and I wrote him a check for 1/3 of total price. Two days before I was leaving, I had no windows, so I had to follow up with Fran and he had no idea the windows weren't installed yet. Approximately 10 minutes later, the installer Mike called me to set up a time when I returned. He had no idea I need the windows installed by mid-October. Approximately 3 weeks later, MIke the installer comes out to put in the windows. But he can't finish in one day because now it gets dark at 5pm. And 7 of the 11 eleven windows have screens that are too big. So Mike comes out another day to finish the install but now I have to deal with Accuweld, the window manufacturer, to get the right screens. Approximately one week later, Dan from Accuweld comes out to install the replacement screens. They are once again too big. I call Thermal Quality to find out what is happening. Accuweld follows up, rushes the job, and two days later I finally have the right screens. Three days later, Kevin the president of Thermal Quality, calls me and apologizes. I found the experience very frustrating because there is no one responsible party: you sign a contract with Thermal Quality but the installer is a subcontractor and the windows are made by Accuweld. Once you sign the contract with Fran and hand him a check, his role is finished and the installer is your contact. If there is a problem with the windows, then you have to deal with Bonnie or Dan at Accuweld. The windows look great and the installation was well done, just be prepared to expend a lot of your own time and energy if things go wrong because in my experience, Thermal Quality is totally uninvolved once they get your 1/3 deposit. Initially, I considered letting the contractor's response to both me and the previous member speak for itself in its unprofessionalism. However, I felt that I needed to restate the purpose of Angie's List - for Members to relay their experiences for other Members' use. The facts were that the windows weren't installed in 6-8 weeks as promised, I had to follow up (no one informed me of a rain delay), and it took three tries to get the screens right. My perception was that I was in it alone, whether Thermal Quality agrees or not, this was my perception - a Members perception. I saved for almost a year to pay for those windows and I don't think I was "unreasonable" for wanting reliable service. $4,000 was a lot of money to me, perhaps that wasn't enough to make me a priority."

"I am pleased that my bath rooms are much nicer than before the project.  I was disappointed with the way it was completed.  I asked as the onset the approximate time frame and I was told two weeks.  There were a few change orders but by their own time estimates it would have been a 3 week project.  It took 6 weeks and it ended because I just could not take it anymore.  You start with Alex who I do believe would like things to go well but he subcontracts and then really loses control.  The contractor works usually 9-12 or 9-2p.  In the six weeks, there were only a couple of days that were complete 8 hour days.  Beware of the term contractor grade in the bid. I was told that this was a better grade of product but it was not.  I ended up purchasing the majority of the products used and was told that I used very high grade products.  My products were just purchased from Lowes and Home depot and were not the "top of the line".  Also, there was very little concern over respecting my house.  The project was extremely messy--not just construction dirt.  I fully expected plenty of dust and dirt but there splattered paint. It is obvious when I clean my "high grade" floor tile, which I do by hand, that a lot of paint was spilled and not completely cleaned up not totally noticeable until I cleaned it the first time.  In addition, the tub has two chips, again not noticeable until I cleaned up the mess left behind. My hardwood floors are scratched.  The excuse for this was being passed on to a sub-subcontractor plumber.  I don't know who did it I just know that it is done.  The offer to fix it was to "try" to cover it up.  I live in the country and trash removal was a mess.  They did not provide the dumpster that they said would happen.  The trash was piled up outside the doors and I am still picking up pieces of dry wall, pipe, broken fixes, etc.  Be sure to demand the dumpster.  I was told it could not be delivered to my house this is not true because I have had large dumpsters in the past.  I believe this was a cost cutting on the part of the contractor.
I grade them an overall C based on how bad my bath rooms were and the fact that they are now better. I am just warning you that you need to be aware of the process concerns that I have listed above.  The 6 weeks cost me additionally, paying a nephew to sit with the house the majority of the time since I have limited vacation time and not expecting 6 weeks. It is difficult to take vacation time from work and have them work just 4 hours.    I began thinking that this became a money pit.  The cost above is not inclusive of all the expenses of this project. 
I have waited to write this review to make sure that I am fair in my response.  I have given it time and all of the above is a fair "nutshell' evaluation of the project."

"We were very pleased with how our new bathroom turned out - it is exactly how we envisioned it.  It was a pleasure working with Jeff and Brianna. Together, they took care of most of the demolition, carpentry, plumbing, and tiling.  He brought in subcontractors to hang the shower doors and to paint the bathroom.  Jeff seems to take real pride in the quality of his workmanship, and also offered several suggestions on both materials and design that turned out very well.   They were very conscientious about keeping things clean, including covering the stairs with plastic, and sealing off the rest of our bedroom with plastic sheeting to minimize the spread of dust.  The only complaint we really had was the amount of time it took to complete the job, although most of the delay was likely the fault of Weinstein?s Bathroom Supply company in West Chester.  Our original goal was to have the work completed by the end of December 2012/early January 2013.  Jeff?s plan was for the work to take 3-5 weeks, beginning in early December and wrapping up by early January.  We met with Weinstein?s in early November and selected all of our appliances.  When we checked with them a few weeks later on the status of our order, it turned out they had not yet placed it.  It also turned out the Jeff?s prior job was running late, so he was unable to start by early December.  Ultimately, work did not begin until late December.   When the bathroom order finally came in from Weinstein?s, several pieces were missing, and they had ordered the wrong style for several items. So a subsequent order needed to be placed, which further delayed things.  Some items could not be ordered in time, so we needed to find other places that could provide the pieces.  Jeff seemed very frustrated by them, and indicated he would not deal with them in the future.  The work ultimately did not complete until the end of February, although much of the time was spent waiting for re-ordered parts to come in.  However, while the delays were frustrating at the time, in the end we are very pleased with the results.
