However, wood cabinets also work well in a garage for storing lighter items like garden supplies, protective gear, and small tools.

You can replace drawers in existing cabinets by repurchasing the same model, if only replacing broken drawers, or replace them altogether to give your kitchen a whole new look. Be sure to measure the exact dimensions of each drawer to ensure the new set will fit correctly. You should also replace existing drawers with new ones with the same type of drawer slides for easy installation.

Ovens are measured by the width, height, and depth of the overall oven (typically in inches). You’ll want to measure the oven not only for the final space it’ll be installed in but also to make sure all the openings in your home to get to your kitchen can accommodate its size.

It’s best to stick with lightweight cabinets, such as medium-density fiberboard, if you don’t have a wall stud to secure them to. Preparation is the most crucial and, really, the only secret to a lasting paint job on laminate cabinets. Paint will peel off laminate surfaces that aren't clean and grease-free. Paint will also peel off if there isn't proper etching on the cabinet surfaces. Taking time to deep clean and lightly but thoroughly sand before priming and painting will greatly increase your chances of success and help keep the paint from peeling.
