Mr. Hauf and his team could see what needed to be done, make recommendations for the most cost-efficient means of accomplishing the goals, and the. Independently see the project through. Extremely trustworthy.

They were good, the work they did was good and the one thing I liked about them was they were very flexible on when they came. I had them here several times to help with refinishing the bathroom and they were very flexible on when they would come and do the work when I could be here.

Their low estimate and Tom Hauf's honest, professional demeanor was the reason I chose Hauf Contracting. The crew included his sons and another helper and they were courteous and accomodating.
During the course of the project I asked for some additional work that was not in the contract which Tom willingly did at a fair price.
They were involved in other projects while doing mine, so the job took a little longer than I expected but overall I was very pleased with the result and would definitely hire them again.

I think everything went well.

He was prompt, showed up when he said he would. He did a very nice job and cleaned up after himself. His prices were reasonable and I have no complaints.

I think the job went very well. Had some trouble with rainy days that delayed the finish. I think it may have been better if the owner had checked about the vinyl lattice beforehand and not spent time finding the vinyl lattice on the start day. I asked that an extra piece of lattice that I hadn't thought about be removed and replaced also and was told that was fine. When that piece of lattice was put up I thought it was too high and just didn't look right so then the next time he came I asked if he would take that piece down and put it another place. Mr. Hauf was very nice about that change, didn't get upset that I asked him to take it down and move. I really liked how calm and relaxed he was about little changes and mishaps until it was what he wanted and I wanted. There was a small piece of lattice used for a vine and he thought it was too flimsy so he bought another piece and framed it. I was impressed. Both Mr. Hauf and his co-worker were very polite and cleaned up everything every day.

Mr Hauf is very professional and easy to work with. He does good work and is very fair in his pricing. I would recommend Hauf Contracting to others.

Fantastic experience, beginning to end. Tom showed up promptly to go over the work for an estimate, even though it was the week before Christmas. The quote was reasonable, and Tom was willing to fit the work into my very tight schedule. He showed up promptly to start the work, and called me every evening to go over the work that had been done that day and ask any necessary questions. He had plenty of good ideas, and the finished work was exactly what I wanted. I'll definitely be using him again!

Tom Hauf is great. He is a little hard to get in touch with sometimes, but if you are patient, it is worth it. He took down our ceiling fan and installed it into something more permanent than the way it had been installed (and fallen). He also helped us put in a back screen door.

Great! I called Tom, he came out the next day to give me an estimate, his price was better than others. He came out within the week to do the windows. I started a second contract with him to hang the doors, for which he even came out on a shorter notice (I had planned to have another company do the work, but they failed to complete the work on time). He did a great job, was clean, professional, and I'm very happy with the work. I plan to have him do more work for me. He was also very flexible about allowing me to provide my own materials and gave suggestions about how to design the projects. Further, he even told me how to do a few things easily myself. Overall, he seems honest, fair, quick, and clean. I can't say enough good things.

The quality was not consistent. I would not use him again due to the inconsistencies. There were some things that were really good. His fees did seem kind of high as well.

The estimate was originally $1,000, but that estimate didn't include replacing the entire 25 foot beam across the front of the house, which I already knew might be a problem. I primarily worked with Daniel (Tom's son) who was very friendly and easy to work with. He did an excellent job telling me what he was doing, and when problems arose (the structural beam), he walked me through what was need and got my OK before moving on. The crown molding turned out great. I was essentially using this project as a job interview for them to complete the rest of the work on the porch which included adding new flooring, column wraps, railing and stairs. On their last day on this project I accepted their estimate to complete the rest of the work on the porch. My wife is usually pretty Leary of contractors in general, but she felt completely comfortable having them around the house. They are all very respectful and courteous.

He called back with estimate and when I agreed he called back and told us what day he would be out to do work. Came on time and did work in a very professional and timely manner.

It went well. I would have preferred beige caulk on beige windows instead of white.

Tom was timely in his response, came to give an estimate and started the work when he said he would. He made a wood door with a sturdy screen for the mud room and a good quality wood gate for the back yard fence. He noted a deck board that was warped and offered to replace it which he did. Other companies did not want to do these small projects but Tom was very responsive. He cleaned up after the projects.

My overall experience was great. Tom gave me the estimate and made the appointments (this work involved several visits) and was very polite and accommodating when it came to my schedule. Daniel, at times with an assistant, performed the repairs; he was fanatical and professional and I have been very happy with the results.

Tom Hauf and his team were great. They had good attention to detail both in building and in cleaning up after themselves each day. They built us a nice structure with shelves that looks like it can last us for years. We called them back later to re-work a few details and they were very gracious and promptly fixed them. They proved their integrity and honesty throughout the process. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Tom and his son did a fantastic job. The job took approx. 10 hours; I thought the estimate of $625 was reasonable. Tom re-constructed the fence (with its unique design) perfectly. His work was precise and tidy. He was prompt, polite and easy to contact. They cleaned up after themselves and were conscious of my flower bed. Overall, I was extremely pleased and will hire him again for carpenter/handyman work.

I was pleased with the work. Tom was on time and did what he agreed to do. There was one repair I requested that he could not do and we agreed that that was OK. I would use him again.

CAME TO HOME FOR ESTIMATE, GAVE GOOD ESTIMATE, AND COMPLETED TASK IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER ESTIMATE. WORK WAS DONE NEATLY, CLEANLY, PROMPT SERVICE, CALLS, AND PUNCTUALITY WAS EXCELLENT.
