"Zoom was out quickly to address the situation, however felt the septic system should be drained first rather than spending money to investigate the issue if it turned out to be the tank. I readily agreed. After the tank was cleaned, I called again and they were out the same day, early in fact. I had them do the jet procedure rather than the snake since it hadn't been done in the twenty years I lived here. That came with a scoping. The drain was cleared and he found a break at the wye that needed to be addressed. He used a different device to plant a flag for the pipeline repair people to fix the problem. I negotiated the cost with the fellow that came out to estimate the job after doing the excavation to the pipe myself. The flagged point was exactly where the break was. The prices was reasonable and I had them do the job. We arranged for the team to come out in late afternoon and I got a call that they could be there even earlier. Back in business and very thankful."

"Paul didn't blink at removing the old septic tank; whereas, others we spoke with wanted to put a new tank in next to the existing tank.  Paul came in with his guys on the days he said they would be there and cleaned up each day.  The work looks neat and well done. There was no damage to curbing from the heavy equipment and minor turf repairs were completed. All access points to the system are neatly set at grade.  The only thing that could have gone better was proactive communication around things like when we could use water and when we couldn't, not a big deal in the end.  Pricing was competitive.  Paul was present and involved in the job and they completed the work in 2 days, which was the bottom end of his estimated time."

"I really liked their customer service. The customer service rep told me that there wasn't anyone available at the time I called, but she would put me in top priority. The person who finished early came out to my place and was there within a few hours after I called. He assessed the situation and told me what he had to do and was upfront with me on the cost to fix it. He waited for equipment to come from the company and fixed the problem immediately. He also checked everything thoroughly and gave me good pieces of advise. He was very professional and cost was reasonable compared to competitor's prices."

"The water heater installation for my home north Philadelphia was completed professionally and done well. The contractor and his team were very respectful of our home and took the time to help explain pricing for the tank, the parts necessary, and labor and services provided?everything was clearly included with no surprises. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish. I would highly recommend their services."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

For homes with a septic tank, harsh chemicals like those found in drain cleaner or bleach aren’t recommended. Some chemical drain cleaners can disrupt the balance of bacteria in the septic tank or damage your pipes. For homes with a septic tank, you can choose drain cleaners specifically formulated for use with septic tanks or go with a drain snake. When in doubt, make sure you know who to call for a clogged drain.

The depth of your septic tank has nothing to do with its size. In fact, some septic tanks can even be installed above-ground! Like other sizes, a 1,000-gallon septic tank could be buried as shallow as 4 inches below the ground or as deep as 4 feet. It all depends on your specific property.

The main difference between a mound septic system and a conventional one is that the drain field in a mound system is built up into a mound composed of sand and gravel to increase the filtration time the wastewater sees before it is returned to the aquifer. There’s also a significant cost difference, with mound systems typically costing far more than standard septic systems.

Having a well means that a household’s water supply, including water that comes through faucets, showerheads, and appliances, is supplied through a private source rather than from a city. The well pulls fresh water from an underground water supply, such as an aquifer, and the well pump pushes the water from the well to your household.

Common signs that a septic tank is full include plumbing issues, odors, and changes in your yard. You may notice wastewater or sewage backing up into your home's drains, or that sinks, tubs, and toilets are draining slowly. Gurgling or bubbling sounds from the pipes are also a key indicator. Outside, you might smell foul sewage odors around your house or the septic tank area. Look for pooling water, spongy soil, or a marshy environment around the drain field. Another tell-tale sign is a patch of grass over the septic system that is suddenly lusher and greener than the rest of your lawn. If you notice any of these signs, you should contact a septic professional for an inspection and pumping.
