I believe Joe was the person performing the service and informed me that the chimney was already pretty clean and he would just charge for coming out. We're having a gas insert installed in this fireplace and I said I was supposed to get the chimney cleaned so I had him do the cleaning anyway. He was here about an hour and seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a 10% off coupon from Angie's list that he wasn't aware of but gave the 10% off any way. The service was a little pricey compared to some other companies but I felt comfortable with this company. Total cost was $212 with 10% off was $190.."

"Al came out initially on time (early actually!) was exceptionally professional and gave a tiered quote on work that "needs" to be done and "could" be done with fair pricing. We scheduled the work for a later date and Al returned and did a fantastic job! He was punctual (again) and efficient-completing all the agreed upon work in a timely manner. He also plugged a hole in the back of our fireplace we didn't know about until we removed the wood burning stove and filled extra cracks on the chimney after capping it. "Chimney Cricket was very responsive when we first called. The person who came to clean and inspect the chimney was very professional. I was very pleased at that point. They even came quickly to install the new liner. And since the air is much cleaner, I can only assume that they did an adequate job on this. However no one called as we requested to let us know that the technician was here so my husband could run home (they could access from garage), they left no paperwork to let us know what they did, our garage door handle broke off and they just left it there and made no mention of it to us. When later I called to ask for paperwork and a receipt I was told that they could not process my credit card for 2 weeks (which means that my credit card info would be sitting on someone's desk for 2 weeks). The bookkeeper also told me "There is only so much I can do" something that should be said to a boss, not a customer. After 2 weeks I had to call again and ask for the warranty and paperwork regarding this $1,700 liner. I finally received the warranty after 3 weeks. And during all this we called and asked to speak to the owner who never called us back. I actually think they do a good job but I want someone who is easier to deal with."
