"We were having trouble with water in the basement. The Alliance Chimney crew had to fix the liner and re-cement the top of our chimney. The crew lead by Joe Lewandowski, came and explained the problem in detail with photographs and options. In the end we put in a stainless steel liner and new piece at the top and re-cemented the pad. They were punctual, were honest and straightforward with us, and did a nice job. When the weather did not permit the re-cementing, we paid them anyway, and they promised to come back. They did this in two days and finished the job. Because they had the right sized ladder, they even took a peek at our back gutter to make sure it was flowing and not clogged."

I believe Joe was the person performing the service and informed me that the chimney was already pretty clean and he would just charge for coming out. "Chimney Cricket was very responsive when we first called. The person who came to clean and inspect the chimney was very professional. I was very pleased at that point. They even came quickly to install the new liner. And since the air is much cleaner, I can only assume that they did an adequate job on this. However no one called as we requested to let us know that the technician was here so my husband could run home (they could access from garage), they left no paperwork to let us know what they did, our garage door handle broke off and they just left it there and made no mention of it to us. When later I called to ask for paperwork and a receipt I was told that they could not process my credit card for 2 weeks (which means that my credit card info would be sitting on someone's desk for 2 weeks). The bookkeeper also told me "There is only so much I can do" something that should be said to a boss, not a customer. After 2 weeks I had to call again and ask for the warranty and paperwork regarding this $1,700 liner. I finally received the warranty after 3 weeks. And during all this we called and asked to speak to the owner who never called us back. I actually think they do a good job but I want someone who is easier to deal with."
