"I got several quotes and Ron's estimates are very competitive. Most importantly he give me a good advice what needs to be done and what does not. This saves me a lot of money that actually lower my overall projects. His crew did wonderful job and friendly and pay attention to details. The whole project finished in a week. I am very pleased."

"Kip the owner contacted me August 4th apologizing for the no-show problem i encountered. He set an appointment and came to my home yesterday. He was able to go through the projects I am interested in completing and provided us with information. He will provide a quote within a week. I would like to edit the previous rating I listed but do not see how to do so."

"Amazing. Price is very reasonable and the service is great! They are readily available to contact and respond very quick. I had Stephanie clean my condo when I was in Philadelphia and now have Susie since I moved to Elkins Park- they were able to accodate my new location very smoothly. Overall I would highly recommend."

"Made the purchase and got a very prompt reply stating that my location was outside of the service area but that i would be contacted by the sales guy 8/31/2013:
"I apologize about any confusion but this is out of my service area. I will talk to my sales rep to straighten this out with him after the holiday ASAP. I had already sent him a email. Again I apologize for any inconvenience this may have cause you."
Disappointed but understand the difficulty.  i never heard back.
9/4/2013, i wrote:
"What is the status? Does this mean that you are not interested or is there still a chance of us doing business. thanks."
not a word....
So it seems they have my $ but i have no plans and am not being responded to.  I was impressed at the speed of the initial communications but there has been an abyss since.
I wouldn't be frightened to work w/ them again but would have to make sure i have a contact that will actually respond.

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.

Expect excavation below grade, creating a well for access, weatherproofing, and thorough inspections during setup.

There are a few ways to save money on egress window installation. First, choosing pre-fabricated windows instead of custom windows can help dramatically reduce the overall cost. In addition, skipping window extras, like customized frames or window film, can help save money on the price tag without sacrificing the window itself. You should also shop around to multiple window installers to find the best installation deal without sacrificing the quality of the window.
