"Long Roofing went above and beyond when installing our roof and gutter. The job turned out more difficult than we thought it would be but Long Roofing made me feel comfortable and reassured that they would fix everything. Tile and shingle roofs both have their pros and cons. In general, tile roofs are a larger upfront investment. In some cases, they can cost twice as much as shingles, but they last much longer and generally hold their value better than shingle roofs. Shingle roofs, on the other hand, are budget-friendly and quicker to install.

Gable vents are more common in older homes built before the 1970s. Homes built after this era use ridge vents or soffits, but you can sometimes find homes with both gable and ridge vents. Gable vents can have a purely aesthetic purpose, while ridge vents hide in the roof shingles so air can flow under the roof while keeping the attic dry.
