"Last summer, I had a complete bottom to top rebuild of my chimney. So going forward, I wanted to insure that I protect this investment for many years to come. After doing research on multiple companies, I hired Warrington Chimney & Fireplace because they had outstanding reviews on Angi and several other websites and because I wanted a company that could do thorough job cleaning my chimney, could do a level 1 or 2 inspection, and could provide a written report with photos after the service call. Previously, the chimney sweep company that used to clean my chimney only did one up and down sweep ... and was done cleaning the chimney in about 10 minutes. That gesture alone communicated to me that Chris/Warrington Chimney & Fireplace respects the time and schedule of their customers. Chris was at my home for over 2 hours. He took all of the proper steps to protect my home, got up onto the roof to inspect the chimney and cap area and did a very very thorough job cleaning my chimney. "Mr. Jermyn is very knowledgeable about his profession. He came out the same day I needed someone to come and give an estimate when I couldn't get anyone else to come. It had been raining a lot and the fireplace had flooded. Although he didn't have a professional appearance he was courteous and very helpful. Due to the rain, the job took longer than expected. One thing that he could have done better was to communicate when he wasn't showing up. I had to call to find out instead, on some days, when it was not raining and I thought he could have come by to continue the work. His son assisted with the work and was very courteous as well and even cleaned the gutter that was near the chimney area. That was very nice of him, at no extra charge. Mr. Jermyn will come back around September to conduct a cleaning!"

"Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional.  I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned.  I was amazed to see what I saw!  Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney.  The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition.  He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above.  There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney).  He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated.  One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working.  These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

"That was fine. That was a year ago. It was good. I end up spending $500. I wasn't expecting to spend that much, because they did a bunch of other things. I wasn't even there when they came. I was only expecting to get my chimneys cleaned and then they recommended I get the caps and spent more and I guess I needed the chimney caps, as well."

"Fireplace was fine (OPPOSITE of what I had been told by another chimney sweep).  Oil burner side ...not so good.  Flue was heavily cracked and deteriorated.  Entire flue pieces laying at base.  Since this could be a carbon monoxide hazard and I quite often have small children in the house, I didn't think it was anything I should let go unresolved (although I was NOT anticipating spending a couple of thousand dollars at the time).
Bottom line:  New stainless steel liner put in.  Liner secured and resealed top and bottom.  New cap installed - and cracked top cement crown on chimney was replaced with a rubberized product.  Warranty on liner is transferable with the house when/if sold.
While I was not thrilled about hitting my emergency fund for something that you can't SEE, obviously it was important to get it done.  I was eligible for a Senior discount (am I the only one THRILLED to be older when a Senior discount is offered)?  You hit a certain age ... every penny saved helps.
Jon Paul was wonderful.  Not a pushy sales person.  Straight and to the point.  Explained everything in detail.  Personable.  My 4 year old great niece was with me for an overnight visit and she immediately took to him.  (Pay attention to the little ones ~ they're very good judges of character). 
I will recommend them at every opportunity and call them again if the need arises.  Five Stars from me!!!"
