He referred us to a plumber who initially responded via text, then completely ghosted us. We had to hire a second plumber who thoroughly inspected the area (including with a camera scope) and confirmed there was no leak. The painting was mostly completed, with the exception of the ceiling area. We were told to reach out once the plumbing was resolved. I notified the contractor on April 8 that we were ready for the patch to be finished, and he replied that his schedule was tight but he would “squeeze us back in.” As of June 8, we’ve heard nothing further. I followed up recently requesting the ceiling paint spec since it was clear we’d need to find someone else. I had hoped for an apology or explanation—something—but instead just received the paint info. Since the painter "finished" the job we’ve noticed multiple issues: • Paint splatters on our carpet • Missed spots on walls • Unpainted trim at the bottom of the front door The total quote was $6,800, and we paid $6,500—holding the final $300 until completion as requested by the painter. Now, I’ll have to spend additional money, which will likely be more then the $300 to patch and finish the ceiling after waiting more than four months. Bottom line: I would not hire this contractor again. The lack of follow-through and poor attention to detail were extremely disappointing."
