"Rowdy was quick to answer our request for an estimate to pave our driveway. Our project was on property we own one hour from Pittsburgh, Pa. and with no utilities. He met with me on a Sunday, gave his estimate and could do the job on Tuesday. We accepted his estimate and the job was completed on Tuesday. The crew was professional and efficient. You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

In most cases, you don’t need a permit to repave your driveway, although some exceptions exist. If you’re widening your driveway and plan on widening the apron as well, you’ll usually need a permit from the Department of Transportation in your area.
