"Ray was nothing but fantastic. He was very quick to get back to me and get me on the schedule as I needed to have the testing done on a home I was in process of buying. Ray was thorough and went through the testing process he was going to perform as well as reviewing the pictures when he was done. Ray s customer service was excellent (above and beyond expectations). I would recommend Ray and Aerotek Environmental,LLC to anyone that needs mold testing and remediation."

"I had a great experience working with Al. From the get go they were very responsive to the request and promptly scheduled an in home consultation. Al is certified in mold remediation and walked me through the steps in detail. Working with them through the remediation process was a breeze and I was given quick updates on the progress and the outcomes. They also accommodated an adhoc request to remediate an area not in the scope of work at no extra fee. They are thorough and meticulous in the process and attention to details is excellent. I had a truly great experience working with Al and also Sebastian and will definitely recommend them for any mold remediation work. Thanks, Rohit"

"Stephen and his team are professional and extraordinarily thorough. I moved into an apartment that had mold. Landlord knew. I found out after move-in. Testing came back showing the predominating species and spore counts. Landlord still would not take care of it, so I had to move out. Stephen went out of his way to answer all of my questions and set up both mold remediation and content cleanup for me in the new apartment to ensure nothing was transferred from the old one. I moved into a smaller space, so this reduced the cost as well. I now have peace of mind knowing that I am again living in a healthy, clean space. Thank you so much!"

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Knowing what to expect during a mold inspection can help make the process easier. Prepare by closing doors and windows for 48 hours, turning off HVAC systems for at least two hours, and avoiding disinfectant chemicals for at least 48 hours.

The mold inspection process takes between 24 and 48 hours. Your professional will check walls, fireplaces, air ducts, vents, and windows for visible spores. They will also take an outdoor base air sample. Your pro will send these samples to a lab for testing and advise you on the findings.

In most cases, cloudy tap water is safe to drink, as the cause is often harmless air bubbles. A simple test is to let a glass of water sit for a few minutes; if the cloudiness dissipates, it was likely just trapped air. However, you cannot be certain of the water's safety without knowing the cause or performing a water test. If the cloudiness is persistent, comes with yellow or brown discoloration, or is accompanied by plumbing issues, it may pose a health risk. In such cases, it is best to call a local plumber to find the cause.

Some mold can look like dust, but most doesn’t. Powdery mildew is often confused with dust as it’s a similar color and grows in a similar way. Some gray molds can look like dust as well, but usually, it’s pretty easy to spot the difference. It’s better to be safe, so if you aren’t completely sure what you’re seeing is dust, call a mold professional to check it out.

Powdery mildew is exactly like it sounds—a widespread mold that looks like baking soda or talcum powder. It’s usually seen on plants and spread in warm climates, which is why many people first discover this issue in their home greenhouse. Over time, plants have become resistant, but if you see it spreading, baking soda and water can eliminate many cases. Otherwise, consider neem oil or fungicide.

Yes, both mold and mildew can grow under outdoor rugs if they are exposed to water or humidity for a prolonged period of time. This is why frequently cleaning an outdoor rug and checking its state is important.
