"This was one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with a home improvement company, and I have had many positive experiences in the past. My chimney has been slowly falling apart for a few years --- dropping stucco, exposed block at the top, and in a general horrible state of disrepair. I contacted two companies, one of which was Alliance. Chuck called in response to my e-mail. He was easy to talk to and preferred to see the chimney in person rather than give an estimate based solely on photos. We scheduled a time (he came out on a Saturday morning which was very convenient for me). He assessed the chimney, made some recommendations and gave me some good advice. I was impressed with the description of the repair, and happy that he was not trying to tack on a lot of extras. Quite the contrary. He answered my questions and showed me what needed to be done, and showed me optional work that could be done, which we decided was not something I needed at this time. The work was scheduled for the following Tuesday. The crew arrived promptly.. They did not need me to stay at home, I was not there as the work was being done, but could follow the progress when I got home. The work they did was absolutely beautiful. My chimney looks better than it ever did. My neighbors are also very impressed with the job. They enjoyed watching the progress out the window each day, and said that the crew members were respectful and neat. I can't imagine any company that could have done a better job, and who would have been nicer to deal with. You won't go wrong by choosing Alliance for your chimney and fireplace needs. I'm hoping to convert my fireplace to gas in the future, and I will not hesitate to contact Alliance for the job. "Correct diagnosis was made for a 20+ year old much loved gas fireplace that was unable to light. Parts were found and ordered. A two man team arrived promptly at the appointment time to remove the old pilot system and install the new one. They completely covered the floor in the area of their work so not a drop of debris was left. They worked intensely for an hour.
