They did a pretty good job. Removed two trees and also cut the logs into smaller sizes for use as firewood.

Isaiah came out and was amazing very courteous and knowledgable doing the estimate. When they came out to do the work they exceeded our expectations. Clear comunication scheduling. They removed the tree, all the debris, and cleaned up. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

Pell Tree Company came today and did some work around our property. I can't say enough good things about them - from top to bottom, one of the best companies I have dealt with since moving here. Not only was their estimate fair, it gave me all the things I wanted, whereas the other companies' estimates did not. One example was our hemlock tree. It's huge and needed a really good pruning. Over the past 6 years I have hired popular tree contractors in the area and could only get them to prune what they could reach with a ladder. Pell did not hesitate to bring their bucket truck into our cramped driveway and trim it all the way to the top. It is beautiful! Another example was a very large white oak. All of the other companies said it was dying and they seemed mostly interested in taking it down. Pell gave me several options and told me that by treating the tree we may be able to extend its life a few years. They laid out all the costs for treating and pruning versus removing and let me decide for myself, without putting any pressure on me one way or the other. The treatment is not all that expensive so we opted to have the tree pruned, which entailed taking out a couple of rather large limbs and removing a lot of deadwood. I am willing to spend a few dollars to extend the life of a mighty oak. We have already lost 2 trees and I don't take it lightly. The flaggers were amazing too. I didn't notice if they were part of the company but we live on very busy Glenside Ave. and they kept the traffic moving freely without making anyone stop unless they were throwing a limb down or a car was coming from the side street. People should have been very happy not to have to stop at that stop sign that everyone hates. lol And the great old oak tree looks the best it has looked since we bought the property. The company is very professional, from Andrew who did the estimate, to Donna who kept me informed about scheduling, to Daniel and each of the other 4 guys who did the work. Everyone was friendly, courteous, quick to answer questions and very accommodating. It took a while to get the work done, a little over a month I think, but the wait was certainly worth it! And they kept me informed. It was a sheer joy to work with them, especially after dealing with so many contractors who are just the opposite of this company - not returning phone calls, promising to do work and then not showing up, or doing the work but acting put out just because you ask a question. As the guys left, they cleaned off the sidewalks, the steps, and the driveway. They even cleaned areas that they didn't mess up! There was not one dropped piece of debris left on the ground. I added a small task to the work and they happily did it without acting put out or saying they would have to call someone. I am so pleased to find such a great team! I wish all the service providers in our area could be half as good as this company is. They were voted tops at Angie's List and I did a lot of research and read all the reviews I could find before choosing them. The next time I need tree work done I doubt that I will even get an estimate besides theirs. That's how much I trust them.

Pell Tree Company exceeded our expectations in every way!!! They provided recommendations, pruned several trees, cabled two of our tress, removed several very large trees, and ground the stumps. They had the equipment and skilled team to complete the job quickly and efficiently. They worked with great care lifting large portions of trees over our house as well as threading large portions of trees through other trees to get them to the curb. Daniel worked like an artist pruning our trees and was masterful along with his team while removing several of our very large trees. The results of his pruning turned out better than we imagined. The team was constantly cleaning up the area and left our property without debris each day with the exception of the large tree trunks that were hauled away at the end of the project. The entire company was very respectful and reliable. They left our yard looking better than when they arrived. As an unexpected bonus, we learned that Pell does installations, so Pell also replaced two very old yew bushes with two high quality Skip Laurels. We are very happy with the outcome of all of their work!

My husband and I are so pleased with the job they did. Your team of workers were awesome they really did a great job. My husband talked to them a couple of times and we both where very impressed. We do plan on having a tree planted next year and will be contacting Pell for this. Would hire them again.

Tree trimming

I contacted a few tree service companies for some tree pruning work. Chris Miller from Pell Tree Company showed up on time to provide me with a proposal which had everything that I wanted to have done, and their price was very reasonable. After comparing multiple proposals, I decided to hire Pell to do the job. I called the office and talked to Donna. She was very courteous and friendly, and the scheduling process was a breeze. The crew showed up on time and started the work promptly. But when they finished the job, I felt that the trees didn’t get shaved back as much as I had in mind. The crew connected me with Chris right on the spot and Chris told me that he would come back to assess the situation and send the crew back if needed to make us completely satisfied. He came two days later, talked to us to better understand our expectations, and quickly decided to send the crew back to do some extra pruning without any extra charge. Donna called the same day and schedule the crew to come back on the next day. They made sure that the trees got pruned to the extent that we wanted. Chris has told us that he wants us to be completely happy with their work and he surely backs up his words with actions. I’m very happy with my experience with Pell Tree Company, and certainly will use them again if I have any tree work that I need to have done in the future.

Chris response to our initial call to set up meeting to go over work we wanted done was same day we called meeting shortly after. Followed by a emailed proposal as well as links to review new replacement trees. After meeting with 2 other companies, we decided to go with Pell Tree. Chris's extensive knowlege & patience answering our many questions, and his assistance in selecting 2 replacement trees he will install in fall, made out decision to select Pell Tree Co very easy. When the team of workers arrived early were very professional and friendly went over the work to be done and began. They set up the area around were they would begin making sure clear & safe for area including the street. Once done taking down trees they cleaned the 2 areas to perfection. Very Impressive workers and work completion. Already our neighbor has come over and will contact Chris to have his 2 Ash trees removed. And I posted rave reviews on my social media for my friends to see. We would be pleased to highly recommend Pell Tree Co. to anyone looking for tree work to be done. Excellent Company

We had tree pruning on 6 very old and large oaks and maples. It was very easy to communicate with the office manager, etc. The crew that came out was professional, and did a great job cleaning up! The only thing I didn't like was the crew left without saying anything, no one asked me if the job was done to my expectations, just got a statement later saying payment was now due. The price was great, so if we don't have as much dead wood falling over the next year, I would use them again.

Daniel did a great job with the pruning. The crew did an excellent job cleaning up after the work was completed.

Service was preformed while we were at work. Came home to a clean yard, only thing left was the mulch from where the stumps were ground. Yard was cleaned otherwise. Had some issues getting ahold of the office, but no major issues. All in all, very happy with the job.

Got what we needed

They were great! They were extraordinary! It's been a couple of years since I last had them here working on my trees. I had them come back a couple years before that. I have been using them for probably a decade. What I liked about them, they were basically tree climbers. On my property, we really couldn't get a cherry picker in the areas that we were working on. Tree climbers were just the thing. I tell you it was like watching the circus with their ropes and swinging around between tree and tree. Holy cripes! It was fun to watch besides having the work done. I think I heard that they bought a cherry picker truck; so I don't know how things have changed in the last couple of years.

Well and swiftly

Very well. they came exactly when they said they would and cleaned up perfectly. Sometimes when contractors remove trees and grind the stump a large mound of dirt and stump is left behind for the owner to clean up but Pell removed the stump and the ground looked like no tree had been there before.

They did a fantastic job, respectful of the yard concerning equipment impact, and now the yard looks great.

Excellent. Jose and Daniel treated my property with respect. No leftover branches. No sawdust laying around. Everything chipped and the stumps taken away. Lawn raked of small twigs. They actually left the place cleaner than they found it! The taking down of the trees themselves was done carefully, with nothing hitting the electrical lines, phone lines, or cable TV lines that they were around. They were real "tree surgeons". John Pell was super professional. Came out the same day I called him for an estimate. Provided a written estimate that day. Provided the necessary insurance certificates and came on time ready to work. He went over the work with his crew and myself before they began, and stopped back to check on their progress during the day.

It was a good experience. We live in a wooded yard. It was expensive, I don?t remember exactly how much it was. To remove the one tree, which was very large and had 3 trunks, that was $1,200. The other work was around 3,200 at least. It was a lot of work and it is a difficult property. 

I did get a quote from quite a few places. They had a certified arborist, who came out and evaluated. Their pricing wasn?t the best, but that impressed me and the thoroughness of their evaluation. I had like 6 companies come out. Everybody seemed to have a different opinion. Some of it was just my instincts of who was looking at it the best. Then some of them also wanted to be directed verses telling me what needed to be done.

The guys that showed up were so quick and they cleaned up so much. It was so impressive.
