"The arborist responded quickly and explained the benefits of thinning out tree limbs from large old trees. Unfortunately, there were communication issues within their team and the canopy is now much higher than 15 ft off the ground. The management responded quickly. This crew has worked together for 5 yrs and I believe issues of this kind are infrequent."

"I couldn’t be happier with the work Romeo’s Remodeling performed on my home. From the first estimate to installation, they were professional, punctual, and honest. They took the time to explain the repairs, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood the process before any work began. The masonry work was excellent. They repaired my brickwork and concrete steps with exceptional attention to detail. In addition to the masonry, they completed additional home repairs efficiently and with high-quality craftsmanship. The work area was kept clean each day, and the repairs completed on schedule. I would highly recommend their services for any home remodeling needs."

"Previously reviewed but to summarize wonderful job and would highly recommend . They had to work around my electric and gas lines directly beneath two large tree stumps in my front yard. This had me extremely nervous until they arrived and started digging for the depth of the lines themselves, putting my mind at ease They explained everything and professionally completed the job with no problems. Goodbye huge ugly tree stumps!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.

Service costs depend on several factors, including the system's age, type, and size, as well as the complexity of the repair. Labor costs and whether replacement parts are necessary also play a significant role.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.
