Jon arrived on time and spent a good bit of time looking all around the basement and attic, even performing a home leak test which revealed that our chimney's damper doesn't perform as it should (already called for service) and that the insulation in our attic is up to code. He made useful suggestions about potential upgrades to our HVAC and water heater, as well as our thermostat. He installed energy efficient light bulbs in the few lamps where we didn't already have them. (THIS INSULATION HAD BEEN UP THERE FOR 70 YEARS) NEW INSULATION WAS INSTALLED AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE CREWED CLEANED UP EVERYTHING , EVEN VACUUMED THE AREA IN THE ROOM. ALL BAGS OF OLD INSULATION WERE REMOVED PROMPTLY AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE."

Our primary bedroom is above the garage and even though we have a newer home, you can feel cold air coming thru the floor.  It's the coldest room in the house by far.  Ed's team came in and placed foam insulation in the garage ceiling.  He gave us $100 off for Angies list discount which was nice.  They cleaned up well when done.  Now that it's warm out I can't grade the quality of the work until winter again because I won't know till then if its helping with the problem.  I will come back and update then.  We had been quoted over $6000 by another company to do the work so hopefully this works and comes in far cheaper.

"Mike Zam and his worker Albert cleaned all my air ducts, registers, and dryer vent. I paid $530 for the first 15 ducts and vents. After that I paid $20 per additional duct and vent. I paid $100 for the dryer vent cleaning for a total of $740. While the work was being completed Mr. Zam made a strong sales pitch for another $1400 to be paid for an Air Scrubbers Plus--a whole house air purifier which is attached to the furnace. He also strongly advised me to pay another $310 to have the coil blades in my furnace cleaned. (I got him down to $270) While he was taking the bottom part of my Lennox furnace apart he received a phone call. He then told me he had to leave and than another service man would call me the next day to do the job. As a result, I had time to call my HVAC service man to discuss these high price additions. He informed me that neither was needed. I checked online regarding the Air Scubbers Plus and found out that the whole- house air purifier's effectiveness greatly diminishes the farther away a room is from the unit. After the men (about 2 1/2 hrs or so) I discovered a lower register hanging off the wall in my living room. In my bedroom the upper and lower registers were reinstalled backwards, making it impossible to slide the lever controlling the louvers. To move the lever necessitated a hammer and a screwdriver. My recommendation to anyone considering air duct cleaning is to watch the process closely. I did not with Eco Friendly Services. And I regret it."
