"When our drains backed up late on a Sunday evening we were panicked. Bono's Blockage responded right away and came out faster than expected. The technician, Dave was fantastic—very knowledgeable and super dog friendly! They got everything flowing smoothly again in no time. Unbelievable customer service!"

"I had water coming up from the ground next to my water well (private system), and I was not sure why or what the problem was. Gardell came to my house, on time, and analyzed the problem. He felt confident that the problem was with the elbow joint going from the pump to the pipe. He gave me a reasonable estimate with a good price range (low-high). He told me several times that it would not go over the top price of the estimated range. I do not like when contractors give an estimate and then go well above their estimate. I have gone through that before, but not with Gardell! His professionalism is outstanding, and he is a very friendly guy. The day of the repair, he came, again on time, and dug up the ground by hand to find the problem, and it was exactly what he thought: the elbow was not holding up well, as it was plastic instead of steel. He replaced it, and now it works better than before, and the water pressure is so much better than it was. He saved me so much money over what the competitor wanted to charge me. He also replaced the non-functional spicket in the front of my house including a water shut-off valve. I have a small budget and his prices are very reasonable. As a final note, he came prepared with booties to wear over his shoes, so he would not get my floors dirty when he came inside. I am very happy that I called him and will call him again any time I need a plumber in the future. Thanks, Gardell!"

"In the last few years, we've been getting huge puddles of water all over our basement floor. Never happened before. Some stretched all the way across the floor. Took hours of work with a shop vac to suck it up and days for the floor to dry. In mid-September, we hired Once & Done Waterproofing. They had the lowest price and specialize in our kind of problem. Work was completed in just one day and very tidily done. Very hard-working crew. But it was a leap of faith waiting to see if that work would be successful. Didn't rain for weeks after the sump pump system was installed beneath our basement floor. Weâ ve now had two really heavy rains. The floor remained bone dry after each of them. A little bit of water still did come in at the base of the outside basement entrance, as expected, but it got no further than the drain they installed in the floor at the door. The real test may not come until next springâ s monsoon season. But so far, so good. Based on preliminary results, I would not hesitate to hire them."

"I had plumbing leaks in a couple of places, but the men that did the work went above and beyond by replacing every component involved top to bottom to ensure there would be no leaks for a long time to come. Very satisfied with the quality of work as well as how quickly it was done."

"Worked with them to install french drain and sump in basement of home we recently purchased. There was an existing sump, but no french drain, and the location of the existing sump was inconvenient. Relocated sump to a corner where it was not in the way. Work was fast and efficient."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

The drain pump will naturally make a standard operational and draining sound several times throughout your dishwasher cycle. If you hear abnormally loud sounds like scraping, grinding, or clicking, you may have food debris or a piece of glass stuck in your drain filter. Avoid dishwasher repair by always scraping food off your dishes and loading the racks correctly.

You can pour hot water down your gutter drain to melt ice and keep ice dams from forming. If the problems persist, consider investing in heat cables to run in your gutters. Heat cables can adjust based on the surrounding temperature to keep ice thawed.

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.
