"Installed bad parts, wanted to charge another job to fix. Plumbing leaking in wall if tub is used. Caulking separated within 48 hours. Popcorn sprayed all over my skylight. Called me a liar multiple times, saying he warned me of bad parts. Not true. Shady company, unwilling to resolve anything they messed up. Pictures and texts will be posted on social media to come. (After ripping me off, he also ruined a neighbors remodel up the Street from me, also overcharged) I was quoted 22$ an hour for him, 15$ an hour for his helper for 40 hours. They both were they together COMBINED working 25 hours for 1700$ labor. That's 68$ each ... Unreal. Good luck"

"Patrick for my sales rep was very knowledgable & did not use crummy fear mongering tactics while also giving me a realistic assessment & no pressure quote on my roof replacement. My roof was 20+ years old & required full OSB on top. Hunter my project manager was very transparent & kept me in the loop consistently as the project unfolded & helped me update the financing (due to full OSB adding labor & product) with zero hassle. Polyisocyanurate foam, or polyiso for short, has the highest R-value per square inch: 6.5 to 6.8. Polyiso is a rigid foam that comes with a reflective foil on both sides to serve as a radiant barrier. Given its high R-value, rigid foam is usually meant for foundations and basement walls.

Exposed ductwork can sweat just like ductwork placed behind walls, sometimes even more so. Ductwork sweats—like a cold drink on a hot day—because of a temperature imbalance between the air in the duct and the air in the room. In a crawl space or wall, this temperature can equalize faster due to the small space but in lofts and open rooms, that wouldn’t happen as quickly. Many people insulate their ducts for this reason.

We recommend that you cut batts of fiberglass insulation with a sharp utility knife. However, in a pinch, you can use tools such as a box cutter or even a pair of scissors. No matter what cutting tool you use, just make sure it’s sharp so you get a clean, straight cut. Always cut along the back (foil) side of the fiberglass, rather than the “fuzzy” side of the material.

The best way to reduce heat upstairs is to release it by opening a window. Hot air rises, and if you can create some airflow by opening a window upstairs and also one on a lower level, the hot air should be pushed out of the home. Remember that fans pointing out the window do a much better job of circulating air than fans pointing into the home.

While adding insulation can be beneficial, there is too much of a good thing. Too much insulation can seal your house to the point where it can't release moisture that enters it—essentially trapping water vapor inside. Warm, humid climates are extra susceptible to mold from moisture issues, but homes in colder climates can experience condensation from an air-tight home when freezing temperatures thaw.
