"If you are a homeowner and reading this review please understand something. With things of such importance as your furnace, you can either trust the opinion of a company who has been doing quality work for 109 years or one rogue customer who is "an IT guy". Mr. [Member Name Removed] is not a licensed heating professional. His control board is intermittent, it will fail and when it does he will not apologize. Mr. [Member Name Removed] is "that guy". He e-mailed us is an attempt to blackmail us to get out of paying his bill and I quote "..In exchange I will walk away quietly and not tell anyone about the events. If not, I will leave reviews on every contractor site and all local Facebook pages for Washington County... " Not only did his attempt to blackmail fail, but Mr. [Member Name Removed] is trying to get out of paying the blue collar working class that we all stem from here in the city of Washington. If his true intentions were to let everyone else know how stupid the working man is here, then you must ask yourself why he was using it for blackmail leverage to get money back? Mr. [Member Name Removed] is known to be this kind of customer around town with most of the larger plumbing companies just ask around. The developer who build the housing development where he lived went bankrupt because of spotty workmanship and unfortunately the people that live in that community have had to pay unnecessarily high costs to make their houses right. In that regard we understand the frustration of people on that street to pay to have big work done that should have been done right the first time. Please don't trust every review you read online, very few are legitimate mistakes, others are from people like Mr. [Member Name Removed]. You have to trust us he is "that guy". As far as the details of the furnace diagnostics, he is oversimplifying the issue and it is currently being sent to our attorneys because he is lying and smearing our name in order to get money. If you want to see his true combative character, lets all see the rant he goes on since we decided to respond to his review. As you have for the last 109 years, thanks for your trust City of Washington, Happy New Year and stay warm. From all of us at McVehil."
The whole house filter and bathtub installations were delayed due to the whole house filter manufacturer sending the wrong unit and the tub was the wrong width.
Once the correct whole house filter arrived the installation was completed without issue. They installed a bypass system with the unit that works great.
The faucet, tub and tub surround replacement went well except the faucet developed a pin hole solder leak. We had to call and a emergency visit was arranged. They had to pull back the surround to get to the faucet. It was repaired in a matter of a couple hours after arrival. Re-installation of surround was done.
The overall experience went well. The issues with size of the tub and the leak could have been avoided.
McVehil did ensure that we were satisfied with the job completion.
