"This is the second time in a few months we have used Anthony's services.  He was very responsive to my messages on Saturday and arrived Monday for our appt.  He quickly found a loose connection in the light portion of the ceiling fan instead of having to replace the entire thing.  He also quickly found the faulty switch and loose wiring for our hall lights and suggested replacing a second at only the cost of the switch since he was already there.  The first time we used Anthony he replaced a ceiling fan in a high ceiling bedroom but assured us the other old one was working just had to be tightened but we wanted to change things anyway.  He was very polite, prompt and cleaned up his mess.  I would definitely recommend him and will always call him first for electrical issues!

"They sent the color choices and directions promptly. I was a little nervous about doing the measuring and making a pattern without assistance so procrastinated a bit. Once I sent in the order details I had hoped I would hear back with an estimated delivery time, but that didn't happen. However, I was in no hurry, so I didn't even really pay attention to how long it took. Maybe a few weeks. Not sure."

"Greg not only is well versed in his field but has a great personality. Greg, ran an electric service to a barn I just installed. I bought all the old enamel lights that he hung and mounted. You cannot believe the compliments we have received from the old time look. He will also be running a new line to another shed that the wife wants to be completed. You can't go wrong hiring Greg. Enjoy!"

"Abe is extremely professional, kind and courteous. He demonstrates excellent expertise and knowledge in his field. He goes above and beyond to address the customer’s needs and find rapid and honest solutions. Honestly the best service from an electrician I have ever experienced ! Also knows a plumber he can collaborate with for advanced appliance work (which may be necessary in my case). Will def hire him in the future for all electrical needs!"

"Although I was lucky because he just finished the job when I called, he still came over to my house right away. I was desperate to have somebody at that moment. I called other electrician from Google search, and most of them didn t answered the phone. I left a message to one company, but they called back next day! Sam explained the problems and fixed temporary that day, and he came back next morning and fixed all the problems. He came in time and did his job as he said. He was clear how much it would cost, and it was easy for me to deal with. There is no hidden fee or any drama. I am not sure how much other electricians would charge, but the initial inspection fee was about same as others (I compared only one another company) and it was emergency for me, so I thought it was worth for the price. Most important thing is that he figured out to solve the problem temporary for us to live comfortably and safely that day. Everything works fine now. I really appreciate what he has done. Yes. I strongly recommend him."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on system type, issue severity, and labor rates.

Cold weather can cause older incandescent Christmas lights to fail by causing cracks in the finish or the glass itself. Modern LED lights are affected in the opposite way and perform even better as the temperature drops.

Outdoor lighting enhances security, improves curb appeal, and extends the usability of outdoor spaces.

Yes, outdoor lights and receptacles should be on a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for safety. The outdoors is considered a wet location where GFCI protection is generally required. A GFCI enhances safety by automatically tripping and shutting off the circuit if it detects an imbalance, which protects against electrocution and reduces the risk of an electrical fire. While it is the safest approach for all outdoor electrical components, specific requirements can vary depending on the type of light (e.g., pool lights), its location, and local electrical codes. For guidance tailored to your specific situation, it's best to consult a professional electrician.

If you take home a pre-lit Christmas tree but want to spruce it up with blinking lights, don’t worry, there’s a simple solution. You can easily replace the light bulbs on the pre-lit tree with flashing bulbs. For a more subtle look, only replace some of the bulbs with flashing bulbs.
