"Very pleased with Rob and his guys. They did a great job. I liked that Sun In Builders handled the permits. Rob and his team were very courteous. They removed my old deck in one day and and did a great job of cleaning up. My two new decks were completed in the time schedule promised. Pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend Sun In Builders if you are building or replacing your deck!"

"I had a great experience with Wilson. He was prompt, communicative, fast, and thorough. His recommendations were on the spot and the final result of my cabinet blends in with the existing cabinets like if it was designed that way. I am very happy with his work quality. Id recommend him to anyone that needs handyman services and Ill certainly be using him again."

"Kitchen Magic was excellent! They came when they said they would be there and the total job took exactly 2 1/2 days (I have a large kitchen with 38 cabinet fronts and drawers), Caleb Cartwright was my designer and he picked out a floor to go with the cabinets and the whole kitchen is beautiful! People think I redid the whole kitchen from scratch! I would definately recomment Kitchen Magic."

If you’re just replacing a few broken or damaged joists, you can expect to pay anywhere from $100 to $300 per joist. However, a complete installation for a home or room will take into account the cost of labor, which ranges from $25 to $40 per hour. Floor joist installation for an entire room, for example, can cost between $5,000 and $10,000, depending on the room's size and the materials used.

Baseboards don’t have to be nailed into studs. However, nailing them into studs adds to their stability. When studs aren’t available, you can secure them with drywall nails directly into the drywall and adhesive. Always aim to nail into studs, especially in high-traffic or impact-prone areas.

There are several mistakes you should avoid when using butcher block countertops. Don't place hot pots or pans directly on the surface, as this can crack the wood and cause permanent damage. Avoid leaving wet items sitting on the surface, and wipe up liquids as soon as possible to avoid stains.

Some states require carpenters to be licensed to perform forms of carpentry, such as framing. The license requires a certain amount of experience and to pass an examination. In states that don’t require carpenters to be licensed, they must be licensed as a contractor if they work independently rather than solely as a subcontractor under a licensed builder. Use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to find out whether a potential carpenter is licensed in your state.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.
