"We replaced the original roof on our house. I expressed my concerns about re-installation of the lightening rods to my roofer. We have had at least three direct hits since they were originally installed in 2013. My roofer called William who was very helpful. William offered to come out an make sure everything was 100% after re-installation. He came the day after I called and I'm glad he did. While the reinstall was the best he had seen (his words) there were issues after 5 year and 3 strikes that needed addressed. He fixed those and now I have a new roof and I am certain the lightening rods will work as intended. Highly recommend this company."

Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

Not all exhaust fans need venting, but most do. Bathroom fans and range hoods work best when vented outside to remove moisture, odors, and pollutants. Some ductless range hoods use filters instead, but they don’t remove air—just recirculate it. Proper venting ensures better air quality and efficiency.

Bathroom fans last around 10 years on average. You can help your fan last as long as possible by doing regular cleaning and taking care of any issues right away.

Common signs that you need a new fan include mold growth or a burning smell. Your fan might also start to sound a lot louder than usual when you use it, or you might notice that bad smells linger longer than they used to in the bathroom.
