"They not only got water and a cooler system out to me the next day , they got to me early in the morning knowing I had a Doctor's appointment for my father. Josh the delivery guy was awesome."
"Derick was professional, proficient and quickly responded to questions and requests. His work was top of the line and we will be calling him again as we proceed with other possible maintenance or remodel needs. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to work with a contractor who is respectable, friendly and reliable."
"Quick, efficient, and knowledgeable! We needed a leaky pipe assessed and they were able to fix it same day. Price was super reasonable. They also answered some questions we had about other plumbing related issues in our house, while keeping cost efficiency in mind. It was overall a great experience, especially compared to other companies we've dealt with in the past. Would highly recommend Julio Plumbing!"
"We started using II-S Mechanical in October 2012 when a sump pump gave out, and we were lucky to get an employee named Don whose knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. He replaced that sump pump and then, though not originally a part of the work to be done, closely examined another older sump pump, explaining the problems with this older pumps current set-up and giving us practical estimates on replacement. We knew that older pump would need replacement and we depend greatly on that pump. So, since we were very satisfied with Don's work, we had II-S Mechanical/Don replace that second pump. Again, he was very detailed and neat in his work, and both pumps are working great. We have real peace of mind knowing the work was done right. We've also had Don replace two sink faucets, one of them which was a difficult, arduous job because the old faucet was rusted and hard to remove. Throughout that work, Don acted good-natured and professional throughout the challenging work. We have not yet worked with another employee from this company, but if they're like Don then you can't go wrong with this company. "
"Roy's came promptly and did a great job tracking down and fixing my leak (shower valve inside the wall) and charged me less than the other guys were going to charge just to come and take a look. I highly recommend Roy's All-Care"
"Adelmo completed the plumbing for our bathroom remodel. He does excellent work. He’s timely and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Adelmo and Oso plumbing!"
Basic replacements can be done DIY, but professional services ensure proper sealing, leak prevention, and plumbing adjustments.
Pedestal sinks typically come with two pieces: the pedestal (also known as the base or pole) and the sink basin. You may hear it referred to as a standalone sink. The sink sits on top of the pedestal, which attaches to the floor and hides the plumbing. Both pieces usually come in porcelain or ceramic.
The time it takes to install a sink depends on whether you hire a professional or do it yourself, as well as the complexity of the job. A professional plumber can typically install a sink in 1 to 4 hours, with most routine jobs taking around 1 to 2 hours. However, more complicated installations will take longer. Projects that involve rerouting plumbing, installing an under-mount sink, or making countertop modifications can take a full day. Installing a sink with a prefab vanity could also stretch the project to 6 to 8 hours. If you plan to install the sink yourself, you should set aside 4 to 6 hours, though it could take longer. It's also recommended to have a friend help, especially if you are working with a heavy sink made of a material like porcelain.
Since pedestal sinks are narrow and don’t have a cupboard to conceal pipes, many homeowners change their plumbing to make it less visible. It’s a big reason why installing a pedestal sink is more labor-intensive than other types.
Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.
