"From the initial estimate to the finished fence this went very well. My entire back fence needed to be replaced and I wanted auto close on the gates. During the walk down, it was acknowledged that I had metal posts that could be reused and that some of them did need to be reset. I was quoted 3 days for the replacement. On the first day they got the old fence down and had all the rails up for the new fence and had started putting up the boards. When I got home the second day, the fence was complete. My neighbors were impressed with the speed and quality. The estimate was right on. I had a problem with the auto-close on one of the gates about a week later and they came out and fixed it."

"Ray and his company NW Elite Fencing and Construction removed our old fence and installed a new one. We were most impressed with Ray when he came to assess what was needed. He was clear and answered our questions. He gave his bid soon after his visit. He and his crew did very fine work. His crew was considerate of plants and areas in which they worked. We hired the company because a neighbor had an entire fence installed by NW Elite Fencing and Construction , and we liked the way it looked. There was no disappointment. Our fence is beautiful. "They requested estimate or arrived quickly, and with two adjustments after contacting adjacent homeowners, the fence was started within a week and finished in two days, the crew was extremely careful with my wife’s garden and upcoming plants. We were very fortunate that the sun was out during the installation. The fence is beautiful all three of our neighbors and ourselves are very pleased with the final result. I would highly recommend hiring this group. I had six estimates for this fence ranging from $9000-$23,000 all using the same materials so be careful when looking at estimates prices range from $50-$100 running linear foot We paid $49 a linear foot."

"They did a great job redoing our deck in PVC. They were efficient and concientious with their craftsmanship and pointed out an area of dry rot and fixed that too. They did such an excellent job that we had them replace our roof vents as well. Roberto was great to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"Awesome all around. Re-worked the estimate when I changed my mind about scope of job without any trouble. Friendly, professional, prompt communication every interaction. Compared to others, very reasonable pricing. Actual work turned out beautiful, and the new fence stood up to a crazy windstorm only a couple weeks later. I've received many compliments. Would hire again without hesitation."

"I talked to many people to get quotes and to inquire about the service of getting my house painted. It was hard to find somebody that I felt I could trust. When I found D&N I knew right away that I could trust them. The job got done quickly and in the estimated time. Communication was clear and effective. I would 100% recommend them to paint your house!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The cheapest farm fences are typically wire fences, which cost less to install than traditional lumber fences. Barbed wire is one of the most inexpensive options due to its simple materials, making it a good choice for low budgets. It is suitable for confining docile animals in large spaces, as it provides a visual barrier and a mild deterrent. Other options like hog wire and woven wire fences are also cost-effective because they require less lumber than a full wooden fence. These types of wire fences are strong, long-lasting, and relatively easy to repair, though they are often considered less aesthetically pleasing than wood.

By securing posts deeply and ensuring proper drainage around foundations.

Many types of farm fencing can work well for your farm, but it depends on the type of animal you need to contain and the size of your property. If you want something quick and temporary, go with a metal T-post fence. If you need something that will last forever, go with a synthetic fence made of composite material or PVC. Electric and barbed wire fences are often chosen for docile livestock, like pigs and cows.

You can keep a dog from digging under a fence by filling existing holes in your yard, installing a wire to your fence bottom, burying your fence bottom, making a designated digging spot, and removing visual stimuli. You can also dissuade your dog from wanting to dig under your fence and escape by scheduling more one-on-one playtime and ensuring they are getting enough exercise to keep them stimulated.

There are many types of wood fencing that you can choose from. For split rail fencing, the most common wood types are cedar, pine, black locust, and chestnut. The best wood for you will depend on if you like the way a certain wood looks and the availability of the wood type in your area.

Most of the wood types you can find at your local home improvement store are good choices since they all have rot-resistant properties or are pressure-treated with pesticides. If none of the wood options speak to the look you’re going for, check out vinyl fencing.
