I wanted a fence to enclose my backyard Not sure of how to go about getting this done, I reached out to a few contractors for bids Most got back to me, and a few gave me a bid remotely, but only one made a point of driving out to meet me not once but twice Jim is a salt of the earth guy with a sincere handshake that gained my trust instantly He listened to my needs and gave me an option that ended up saving me money The installation happened the following day with the same attention to detail. Terrific! Alex & his team were professional, communicative and listened to what we wanted. They were able to start quickly and completed the project promptly, as well. They also offered us a great price. Alex came back a subsequent day to do our gate, which we wanted to be 7ft. instead of 6ft., which was the height of the fence. He accidentally also made the gate 6ft. (an honest mistake) and when I reached out to him about it he apologized profusely and offered to return the following week to make it right. We asked him to just add a foot of something decorative-looking, and he did. All in all a great experience with Original Fence and we would hire them again.

I would love nothing more than to not have to check even one star. Their quote was ridiculously high, however, last year my late partner, Steve, contacted them to start work. We had a deadline of 4-6 weeks, because we had a new rescue dog and I had to travel. I was going back East to meet my father’s family, whom I’d never met. My husband worked with them, until I discovered that they weren’t meeting deadlines, lumber was not being delivered when scheduled, which meant our schedules were getting constantly juggled, they wouldn’t show up as promised, or they were constantly late and way over promising and way under delivering. They did not call the City Utilities first and cut multiple underground wires. I also found out that, even though our contract said half down and half at completion, they had been asking him for advances to meet payroll on other jobs. We never knew who was coming or when. Here is where I will say that his son-in-law, Alex, seems like a good kid, and had some remorse. I am not a horror. I ordered pizza for them, made sure they had fresh cold water and on one especially rainy day lent them my wet weather gear. Well, I thought it was a loan, the pants, hood, and jacket weren’t cheap and still in the package, one of the guys took them and we never saw him again. They constructed a promised large rolling gate; they stood it up and it folded like one of their many unfulfilled promises. It is still lying on my strip of what used to be grass. I can’t lift it, I asked many times for them to re-use it as a privacy screen since it was built and we paid for it, never happened. They left debris, and messes everywhere, there are huge chunks of their concrete mistakes in my raised beds, that was a new discovery a few days ago. It’s been well over a year, my electric fence still does not work, although I’ve made multiple requests. They left their chop saw, welder, and tools here for months, never contacted us, if I knew then what I know now, I would have sold them. So, you ask, why wait this long. Because my partner of 25 yrs. passed away nearly a year ago, and these people, Jim specifically, owes me a great deal of money. I will not go into to details, but suffice it to say, he makes certain people in the news look like well adjusted, honest choir boys. Jim is a sweet talker, all cajoling and promising to show up, call, or whatever and nothing, I’ve spent days on end home, waiting. He has deflected, lied, and straight up mocked my situation. I gave him all this time to rectify this, and now I’m done. I am tired of these people and people like them taking advantage. So, do I recommend this company, even with Alex, as long as Jim is the lead fleecer, absolutely not under any circumstance. We paid them over $30k. I still haven’t met my family.

Called for a bid on Saturday afternoon, and within one hour, Jim came to do the bid. The bid was competitive. Monday was selected for the job. The fencing with two gates was completed that day. I got home from work, and greeted the two workers. Alex finished the job by inviting me to tour the fenced area, asking any questions I might have

Everything went great!! Alex installed 2 gates for us, one for our neighbor and replaced one side of fencing in our yard. Looks awesome and appreciated the thorough communication throughout as they were installing around some less than ideal existing brick pillars that we did not want to replace (yet). We will have them back for sure when we can get in touch with the other adjacent neighbors! We received multiple quotes and they were the only ones to talk in detail about wood varieties, show us pictures, etc. and came back with the most compelling bud. Project was done in 2 days!
