"Oliver and his team were great. We got three bids for our exterior paint project, and Oliver’s was the most competitive while also using the highest quality materials and paint. Communication was easy, and they completed the job very quickly. We would happily work with Oliver again and recommend him to anyone looking to have work completed."

We are a family run business, we are 4th & 5th generation contractors. I first received my Oregon general contractors license in 1978. Today, we specialize in providing design build services for remodeling residential and commercial buildings. Our skill set is framed in meeting the needs of our customers with a focus on troubleshooting problems and recommending specific solutions. We self perform some carpentry related tasks and have long standing relationships with many specialty contractors in our area. We always rely on licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians and electricians to do specialty work. We are well equipped to handle all building permitting requirements and ensuring all the proper inspections are completed as occasion requires. Since communication is such a large part of project success, we stay in constant contact with our customers as we work together. Please reach out to us and we'd be happy to discuss your project.
"After interviewing 8 contractors, Dorson Jackson was the obvious choice for our major project/home remodel, touching on every room in the house. From the very start, Dorson has been responsive & communicative, something rare and incredibly appreciated. He's not just a contractor, he's a businessman and understands the entirety of taking on a huge project for us. He dedicated an extraordinary amount of time for his bidding process, breaking the house down into zones, and then listing every single change, plus parts and labor fees for the changes, in every zone. Every other contractor gave us a one or two page bid with very few details. Dorson's proposal was a detailed 17 page document. He is EXTREMELY organized and we were super impressed with the effort he put into bidding the project. We have since hired Dorson Construction and he and his team have begun demolition. He also sent photos to us of every room in the house after demolition so we could see what he had done, what issues were found that he had prepared for as possibilities in his bid, and comments on each photo explaining what he saw after demo. Because we are not living locally, having someone we can trust with our home from far away is of the utmost importance. Dorson recently brought his son on board and we have been equally impressed with his follow up and thoroughness. In addition, Dorson has gone out of his way to help us with our permitting process, which is not part of his job and was only necessary due to failure of a third party. I can't wait to see the beauty and function he creates for us in our home to be! (Review will be updated upon project completion.) Thank you Dorson!"

Surface Rescue uses state-of-the-art equipment, techniques, and cutting edge products endorsed by the Hotel/Motel Association for its resurfacing service. The products used are isocyanide free and the best in the industry. Surface Rescue's quality materials and workmanship insure a durable, beautiful finish, and a surface that will last for many, many years. The end result of resurfacing is that the item is given a new appearance while providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface. With custom coloring, customers who are remolding kitchens and baths have the option of color coordinating the major fixtures, at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The customer is asked to wait at least 24 hours before using the fixture and that cleaning is much like that of fiberglass or formica. The advantage of the new surface is that Surface Rescue can repair any incidental damage and return the "the new surface" look at a minimal charge. Call Today!
"The above options do not cover what George at Surface Rescue did for us. We have a 1977 mobile home in Siletz. Both the bathtub in the main bathroom and the shower in the master bathroom were in terrible shape. We were considering replacing them completely until George came and took a look. He assured us that he could save them both and that they would look like brand new when he was finished. We gave him the job and are amazed at how they turned out. They do look like brand new. He arrived on time for the several appointments and was friendly and courteous. We highly recommend George. His work is impeccable."

Building a custom closet costs about $2,000, on average. Because many types, sizes, and designs are available, the cost to build custom closets ranges from $250 to $6,000 or more. A reach-in closet is on the lower end of the price range from about $250 to $1,500, compared to a walk-in closet at $750 to $3,500 or a wardrobe at the high end between $1,500 and $6,000 or more.
The main difference between a closet and a wardrobe is that a closet is a separate room for general storage with its own door, and a wardrobe can be either built-in or freestanding place to store clothing. A walk-in or reach-in closet connected to a bedroom often serves the same purpose as a wardrobe by primarily storing clothes and shoes. A built-in wardrobe often does not have doors and leaves clothes exposed to view, whereas a standalone wardrobe usually has doors.
You may need a building permit to add a closet, depending on the size and kind of work required to install it. The most likely scenario requiring a permit involves changing the structure of the house and performing electrical work for closet lighting. A permit can cost between $100 and $450. If you’re installing a smaller reach-in closet, a permit may not be required, but always check with your local municipality and consult a closet designer or builder.
Different types of closets are defined mostly by size. A few different types of closets include:
A reach-in closet is a smaller closet that you can stand in front of and reach everything inside it. Aside from the size, the doors and the level of drywall finish are typically the largest price factors.
A walk-in closet can be anything from a small 5-by-5 feet closet that has a narrow walkway with shelves on both sides to a 100 square foot bedroom-sized closet with shelving along the walls and plenty of room to move around in.
A built-in wardrobe often does not have a door and leaves the clothes and other contents open to the room, whereas a closet usually has a door to separate it from the rest of the room.
Yes, building a custom closet can definitely add value to your home. Creating a more useful and pleasing space to your home, especially a custom closet for prospective home buyers to imagine as their own, is likely to increase the value. However, avoid overdoing it with a closet that takes up too much space that’s otherwise more useful as living space, or paying extra for overly lavish materials and finishes that aren’t likely to add more value than they cost.
