"We hired Tito to repair drywall damage after a lighting remodel in our home. He arrived on time, presented a competitive bid for the work, and a contract detailing the scope of the job. He asked for feedback while work was in progress and completed the work early. When he was finished his cleanup was great, leaving our house as it was before he arrived. He bent over backwards to ensure we were happy with his work and was not satisfied until we were satisfied. He is one of the most professional contractors I've had the pleasure of doing business with. I would not hesitate to hire him for more work in the future."

"I had a water leak in our church’s lower women’s bathroom, and once the area was repaired and dried, Davis and his crewtook care of the drywall, painting, and rubber base installation so we could be ready for services. Davis answered my call right away and immediately started making plans to get everything back to normal. He and his crew were respectful, courteous, and kept the work area clean, even while working in a busy place. I really appreciate the quality of their work and would definitely recommend them."

Customers say: True professional

"Jesus was very professional and demonstrated the upmost quality in customer service. He called me around 6 in the evening and I was able to have him come by at 7 and take a look at the work I needed to do. He was prompt and showed up within 2 minutes of when he said he would when he came to estimate and later do the work. He came back the next day to do the work. He plastic'd off all areas to keep debris and dust contained and did a fine job cleaning up. He did very good work on all the drywall patching I needed him to do. Great professional contractor unlike the guy from Cloe drywall who wouldn't even call me back like he said he would."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Some textures are easier than others to DIY, but the short answer is yes, you can absolutely texture walls yourself. You’ll need certain materials, like a trowel or paint sprayer, but the most important things you’ll need are patience and time. DIYing wall texture can save money and be a fun, messy project, but homeowners need to know that adding texture to a wall isn’t a quick project.

Your walls are likely cracking due to fluctuations in the temperature outside. Drywall tends to expand and contract when temperatures and humidity levels change, and this repeated movement can lead to cracks in your walls, particularly around door frames. If you have multiple diagonal cracks, you may want to have your foundation inspected, as cracks can also be a sign of a bigger issue.

If you're comfortable hanging drywall yourself, you may be comfortable finishing it. But it's worth noting that finishing drywall adds several steps to the process and a lot of waiting time. Hiring a drywall installer may be the way to go if you'd rather spend your time doing other things or are nervous about leaving a rough surface.

Choose a drill bit that is the size of the screws of the anchors you will use. You aren’t drilling through metal or concrete—hopefully—so any standard twist, wooden or all-purpose drill bit will work fine. It’s also important to have a screwdriver capable of drilling through the drywall and into the stud. The good news is most available drills, even the older ones, can do this with no issue.

You can skim coat plaster, but it’s better to repair the plaster itself. A skim coat is a thin coat of drywall joint compound spread over the surface of a wall. The result is a flat finish that looks pleasing, but part of the appeal of plaster is its imperfections and aesthetic. Skim coating is best when limited to drywall applications.
