"The Bright Creations Painting team was fantastic to work with. They were very responsive, communication was simple and clear, the entire crew was hardworking, professional, respectful and efficient. Eduardo took the lead in communications, preparing the estimate and addressing our questions promptly. He made it clear that his goal was to ensure that we were completely satisfied. They did a really great job and we are super happy with the results as well as the experience of working with them. We have already recommended them to two of our friends who are planning to clean and repaint their homes."

"Larry was an absolute pleasure to work with. He replied promptly to emails and calls. He was able to match the existing color perfectly as I wanted to retain the color even though the entire home and shop were repainted. He changed the trim color, at my request, which really made a difference in appearance. I also asked about some additional work regarding the siding on the shop and thought his price was very fair. That work was also completed quickly and professionally."

"No problems arose. I'm getting compliments from neighbors and another contractor that did kitchen work for me. Very easy to talk to and receptive to changes. I'll have to see over time how it holds up. I was a little concerned about how he shimmed up the base and what he used as footings. Decking could have used spacers between boards and end grains could have been rainbowed to prevent cupping but since I didn't get that picky and did not mention it, that is my fault. All in all it looks great and hopefully will weather well. I love the railing he picked out and enjoy the over all look.

"They did a real good job. They were real professional. We can now open the garage door from the inside of the house and now it is so smooth that we have to check to see if we hit the button to open it or close it.  Before we used to know when it was opening or closing because it used to make a noise. It helps when you move to a city where you are new. "

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead paint test kits are not always accurate. Several factors can play into why a test kit provides an inaccurate result such as user error, sample viability, the age and condition of the paint, or difficulty interpreting the final result. If you are looking for 100% accuracy, hiring a professional lead paint test is the only way to get that piece of mind.

Lead removal is crucial in older homes to eliminate risks of lead poisoning, which can severely affect health, particularly in children, by impacting development and cognitive functions.

DIY kits are available for basic air quality testing, but professional services provide more comprehensive results and recommendations. While a DIY kit may seem cost-effective, a professional assessment is more thorough. Inspectors are better equipped to catch all pollutants and hazards, and you'll still need a professional to verify and act on DIY test results. Furthermore, some kits don't test for certain pollutants or only detect their presence without measuring specific levels (like mold spores). It's generally better to opt for a detailed professional assessment.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

If your house was built before 1978 and you’re noticing cracking or peeling paint, a lead paint inspection is a good idea. A lead paint inspection gives you accurate information about the presence, location, and condition of lead-based paint in your home. This information is essential for making informed decisions about lead paint removal to ensure your safety and health and that of your family. If your inspector finds lead, you’ll need to take steps to manage or remove the lead-based paint and comply with laws and regulations.
