"We had all of our windows, an oversized patio door and an exterior mud door replaced. The project was very expensive but the result is amazing. We replaced the 1989 aluminum windows with grids and put in a Milgard windows with a black exterior. Josh Kaiser installed the product and we were very happy with his attention to detail and professionalism. I watched him install the windows and he answered all of my questions with patience. He unfortunately had to work by himself after his worker, Kris didn't show up for a few days. Josh didn't complain and just kept working hard. I am very happy with Henderson and Daughter and Josh Kaiser. I highly recommend them."

"I told Home Advisor that I needed one window. This company has a 3 window minimum. Because they came and showed up on time I requested a quote for another, very, very far off project which I received promptly."

"Paul and his team did an awesome job installing new windows and redoing the trim inside and out. I considered his pricing to be fair and reasonable. Would definitely consider him for future projects."

"DaBella offers excellent quality and service. The presentation was a bit lengthy, but it was evident that their salesman were very well trained. Matt Pittam was very knowledgeable, more importantly he was able to keep it fun and interesting. Not only did he go over all of the options available (I looked at roofing, windows, and a garage door), he also shared a little about the company's philosophy, which I very much appreciated. I look forward to doing business with them in the future."

"It was a good experience.  Bo came out, arrived on time, was very knowledgeable and professional.  He wasn't pushy at all and didn't push a single product, even though they are one of seven Oregon companies that are a James Hardie preferred installer.  He listened intently to what my wife and I wanted and provided some suggestions.  Overall he had a good presentation and was very informative. We got bids from about 5 or 6 installers and unfortunately Life-time exteriors was the highest.  The next available time slot was in December, which was the answer from all the installers we talked to.  One difference though, was that other installers provided a price break because it was off season.  I had expected a lower price on the estimate because our house is relatively small (1500 sq of surface area over 1.5 stories), doesn't have complicated curves, literally is 4 sides, etc. In reading their reviews on here, it seemed others had a lot more done (including windows, doors, decks, etc) for less money.  So that was pretty disappointing.  we would have loved to go with them but they were roughly 4,000 more than the company we went with who is a multiple year Angie's List super service award winner list and used to be James Hardie preferred installer (until Hardie changed the requirements and now requires more color plus siding installs instead of just the regular hardi plank).
Bo was top notch and I suspect they are great installers.  just were a tad high for us considering the other bids with highly qualified and rated companies.

Windows questions, answered by experts

One of the best professional cleaning solutions that won’t leave streaks is one gallon of distilled or bottled water mixed with 2 to 4 teaspoons of dish soap. Apply using a sponge in a figure-eight motion, and then use a squeegee to remove the majority of the water and soap. You can finish drying with a piece of old black-and-white newspaper to remove any residue for a streak-free clean every time.

Yes, you can absolutely put a screen on a casement window, and most casement windows come with screens. Unlike with a double-hung, single-hung, or sliding window, the screen in a casement window sits on the inside of the window so that the sash can freely open outward. Screens are especially important for casement windows because the large window opening the window provides leaves your home more open to bugs and outside debris than most other types of operable windows.

Yes, you can remove window tint from house windows. You can either use heat to loosen the film before peeling or scrape it away with a blade. You’ll also use a solution to wipe away any adhesive that still clings to the window.

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

Yes, bifold windows can open inward or outward. Your window manufacturer will label windows as “in-swing” or “out-swing,” which indicates the direction they open. If your installer is ordering windows for you, make sure they know which direction you want them to open. In-swing bifold windows will preserve as much space in your outdoor area as possible. Out-swing bifold windows are great on the second floor, where obstructions outside aren’t a concern.
