Complete slab stone and Quartz fabrication, and installations. Owner is 5th generation stone worker, and has been doing stone slab fabrication full time since 1982. We do residential, and light commercial jobs. We specialize in Marble, Limestone, and Soapstone (and all of the other stones as well!). Our clients are all from word of mouth referrals (except for Angie's list). We specialize in custom work. I invite you to call us for your work- large jobs or small ones, they are all important. We also do repair work, either in our shop, or on site if needed. Your broken table, or other stone may be salvaged. Just call and I can tell you if it is possible (I have personally repaired "Humpty Dumpty" at least 1000 times, and most of the time you couldn't tell he fell off of the wall!) There are many things to look for when buying a brick house. Here are some of the key things you should pay close attention to.

  • Lintels: Look for cracks, holes, displacement, or corrosion

  • Mortar: Check to see if the mortar is old and crumbling, in need of repointing, or new. Also check to see if the mortar has a professional finish.

  • Walls: Check along each side of the house. If a wall is bowing outward, this indicates a severe issue such as foundation damage or that the walls are ready to fall.

  • Cracks: If there are stair step cracks in the brickwork, this indicates an unstable foundation.

There are several signs that your chimney is dirty and ready for cleaning. Look for the following:

  • A buildup of creosote and soot inside the chimney

  • The room fills with smoke when you use the fireplace

  • The damper is black with creosote residue

  • When you light a fire, it quickly goes out

In general, it’s best to schedule a cleaning at least once a year before winter so you can safely use the fireplace. 

To check the water pressure in your house, you’ll need to use a water pressure gauge, which you can purchase at your local hardware store. Locate your outside water spigot and attach the gauge (following the manufacturer’s instructions). Normal home water pressure is between 40 and 80 PSI.
