"My yard/garden was a disaster. Three-foot tall, out-of-control, weeds, unusable backyard because of sloping, dead lawn, Zero landscaping (to name just a few issues). My neighbors have been nice for many, many years to not complain, but my yard needed major help. Tony came out to consult with my ideas/plans for the area. He listened to what I was thinking and gave helpful advice. Affordable Quality Landscape did an amazing job. Tony and his crew spent 6-7 full days here. Yard clean up, digging out bamboo roots that had spread all over the backyard (although there were only 6 visible bamboo stalks). Leveled out the soil, and added a retaining wall and root blocking material to reduce the spread of bamboo in the future (the bamboo had jumped over from the neighbor's yard). They build a beautiful paver patio (honestly, it's a nice small patio--a professional job); laydown a ton (probably true in weight) of river rock along the side of the house, back and front. Installed edging to prevent the river rock spreading. FYI, I have one of those narrow lot, two story (newer) homes you see popping up all over the Portland Metro. The crew also built a paver pad for me to put my garbage and recycling bins (that before were left on top of dirt/bark). Finally, they laid new sod for the small front yard (about 10'x10'--small enough that I don't feel too bad about the lawn's water consumption). I'll have Affordable Quality Landscape back in autumn, after the summer heat, to add plantings and trees. Note: Originally, I wanted to do work during the summer of 2021, but I waited too late (July) to contact Tony... they were already booked through September. This year, I called in early May."

"We hired Lex Construction for siding replacement and exterior paint, which included replacing two windows, some general construction to repair bulges in the studs and some roofing/fascia board repair. Of all the companies we had bid, we really felt like Mike listened to our vision and didn’t feel the need to rearrange it to his preference. He also gave us some great suggestions and recommendations, some which we decided to go ahead with and some not. The price was really reasonable, and we ended up adding the front deck replacement mid-project. Both Mike and Troy were responsive and courteous, and did a great job, as well as the contractors that covered the roofing and paint. A few minor details were missed between what we discussed and what they executed, but nothing major. Overall we were really happy with them, and plan to use them again for additional projects we have in mind. We highly recommend them for your next project!"

"This place is run like an old fashioned family business with humans who want to be helpful. The torsion spring on our garage door broke so I made an appointment to have it replaced the next day. Unfortunately, we found that the door was effectively locked shut. We needed to get the car out of the garage the next morning so I called back and talked to Becca about getting someone out sooner. She calmed me down and had Jody come by on his way back from his last assignment. Jody was friendly, professional, and efficient. He replaced the spring, tightened the nuts, lubricated the hinges and rollers, and reconnected the cables. After all that, he cleaned up his work area and left us in a cheerful mood. It was wonderful doing business with them."

"Very impressed! I received a prompt call back after leaving a message requesting a consultation on tree work. Tom was able to fit me into an appointment slot to come out promptly to evaluate my trees and provide a quote. This immediate responsiveness was important to me due to a new roof scheduled to begin soon on my home. Tom’s proposal was extremely concise and clear – itemization tree by tree with precisely the work to be completed on each tree. A total of 16 trees were expertly cared of – one dead tree completed removed, canopies raised on others, dead branches removed on all, a significant amount of pruning completed to give clearance to roof line, and thinning out of one large old growth tree struggling to recover from an old injury. All was chipped on site, clean up was thorough and haul away complete. I would highly recommend Tom and his crew for his quality of work, attention to detail, attentiveness and great service!"

"These guys were amazing! Right on time and very Professional. We had to make some changes because our old range was hard wired, plus the trim and boards needed to be cut out to make room for the new slide in range. They knew exactly what they were doing and all appliances were installed correctly, efficiently. with removal of old appliances. It was well worth the money to have them done right. Especially since there more high tech than we're used to lol. We also knew we wanted a company that was Professional and had good reviews, because my daughter had a microwave that she bought and had installed by a well known store. And nothing was done right. "We hired Portland Movers Ready yesterday to move our 12K hot tub and other furniture. Upon delivering the hot tub, the mover broke a side panel. When my husband called the owner he got upset and said it was not his fault as it was cheap plastic. The movers demanded to be paid in cash and no receipt. My husband managed to write down what happened and had the foreman sign the paper. I called from my phone and the owner picked up the phone and I told him I would obtain a quote for the repair for him to pay us back. He said ok send it to me and then we will see. He has yet to respond to our calls, text or emails. I would not recommend hiring this company as they do not provide and contract or receipt and zero liability. We will continue to pursue our claim for damage to private property."
