These guys were amazing! Right on time and very Professional. We had to make some changes because our old range was hard wired, plus the trim and boards needed to be cut out to make room for the new slide in range. They knew exactly what they were doing and all appliances were installed correctly, efficiently. with removal of old appliances. It was well worth the money to have them done right. Especially since there more high tech than we're used to lol. We also knew we wanted a company that was Professional and had good reviews, because my daughter had a microwave that she bought and had installed by a well known store. And nothing was done right. Professional and competent. Was able to schedule next day service, they arrived on time and installed the dishwasher as requested. They removed my old dishwasher and all packing material. The double drawer dishwasher was installed perfectly. They were courteous and knowledgeable, I would hire them again for any job.

The crew arrived on time and quickly completed installation of my new microwave, offering to take the old one with them. They took great care to protect my range and clean up after having to drill new mounting holes in the tile backsplash. I will definitely look to Portland Installations for future "handyman" projects.

We couldn't be happier. Chris arrived right on time and did an exceptional job! We were replacing a greased over 1962 vented, under cabinet hood fan that hadn't worked in YEARS! As it turned out the person who installed it in 1962 did a rinky **** job so my husband and I were glad we didn't tackle the job. It was quite a job but Chris knew exactly what he was doing and was able to remove it and without any damage. He installed the new one perfectly. It looks amazing and it'll be SO nice having a working fan again. Chris did an amazing job keeping the area clean which was a challenge I'm sure with the messy old fan he was working with. Thank you Chris and thank you Portland Installation! We would absolutely hire this company again!

It went mostly smoothly; they found some quirks with our house that I needed to address. The installer recommended a course of action which I will pursue at a later point. Installer was friendly and professional. The accepted card on their tablet which was a nice convenience. They hauled away the old dishwasher as well. Of all the installers I called they were able to respond the soonest.

It went well, but after a few months the clips used to connect the washer to the counter broke. Things happen. That said, the reason I am leaving this review is they came out, fixed the clips, were complete in about ten minutes and did not charge us. Somewhat expected, but it tells me they are a solid company and I would work with them again. The gentlemen who came out both times were very nice, on time and professional.

Both jobs were top notch. They treated the installations as if they were working for a member of their own family. Wow!

Showed up ahead of time with all the materials necessary for the job and completed it in a timely manner. Complete clean up and trash removal.

Jim was very helpful with my questions over the phone and the techs were punctual, helpful, courteous and efficient. They carried the new dishwasher upstairs to the kitchen, dealt with some dismantling issues with the old dishwasher, carried the old dishwasher downstairs, and were done in about an hour. They also walked me through how to work the new dishwasher. I was able to pay with a credit card using their ipad card swipe system which emailed me a receipt instantly. A great experience!

It went great!

1. They prepped the area. Removing all items from the work area prior to staring. Including counters, stove and cupboards.
3. Laid a covering over the work area to protect the stove, counters and flooring.
5. Shut off breakers to avoid any electrical issues while performing electrical changes.
7. Installed a new electrical box and harness where the hard-wiring was located for the old hood.
9. Measured and drilled holes for the microwave.
11. Plugged in microwave hood and tested power connections.
13. Mounted hood and secured in place.
15. Tested microwave to guarantee functionality.
17. Cleaned up work area.

I bought the oven from Sears Outlet and the microwave from Lowes, when Lowes declined installing the wall oven, because it was not their item. Jim and his crew came to our rescue and installed both items. The microwave and trim piece needed a bit of carpentry work to make a better fit for the microwave. I was impressed on how exact everything was. They also assisted me in obtaining a custom trim piece for the bottom of the oven. They were very responsive, provided prompt service at a good price. They did a great job! Everything looks and works wonderfully! Thank you so much!

I am very content with their service. They went above and beyond with their work and follow up. I am so glad they were able to perform the work for me immediately after having looked for someone for nearly 2 weeks. Their customer service is superior. I took a bunch of their company cards and I plan to spread the word for them and help others get a hold of such caring and professional people. I wish this company the best because they are incredible.

Steve and his assistant arrived on schedule, and spent what has to be almost two hours building an enclosure to fit the new microwave. It took a whole lot of measuring and cutting, mostly measuring to be sure that it was correct. But they did the job cheerfully and well. 
I hope that we never have to do this again, but if we do, it will be Portland Installation that does the job.

They were excellent.  I would know for sure until the day before what time the oven would arrive.  I didn't call a call from the delivery company and had to call the day of.  They were very gracious and worked with me to make sure i could get my oven installed that day.
They arrived when they said they would, were cheerful, worked efficiently and knew what they were doing. 
I would highly recommend this company.

It went wonderfully!  They are coming back next week to do the final hook up of the new washer dryer and they have been excellent to work with over the phone and in person.  I recommend them whole heartedly!

I wanted the installation to be done by a professional business rather than by stores which aren't always satisfactory, so I called 
Portland Installation to install my new wall oven, dishwasher, cooktop and hood.  Chris did the work including removing the current
appliances.  He was professional and courteous through all of it.  The fit of the cooktop and the venting on the hood had some
complications but he knew how to solve them.  I would definitely hire them again.

We were doing a kitchen re-model and needed help with installing new cooking range. In on our old setup we had a drop in gas range and a stand alone oven below it. I had it scheduled with Jim to have the appliances removed before our new counter tops were installed and then instal the new range after installing the counter tops. During my first conversation I was told that the cost to install the new range will be $149 and so I had asked specifically if that includes removing the old appliance and it did.
However when I had the technician come in to do the install, they charged me additional $50 for removal of old appliances. I am not sure where that charge came from because I was not told about it. Jeff was the technician who did the install for me and he was on time clean and very helpful. The quality of the job was good.
If it wasn't about the surprises that I had about the charges, I would have given them a solid and quot;Aand quot; but the unexpected charge does leave a sour taste.

I'm doing a kitchen renovation through Lowes, and Portland Installation was assigned to do the electrical work for my project. Once the cabinets were installed, I was ready for the electrical portion. I got a call Monday morning to set up the time to do the work. Jim said they could pick up my new range from the local appliance store where I had purchased it, and be at my place within the hour. They arrived on time and got right to work. The previous range was a hard-wired drop in, so my freestanding range needed an outlet wired. They installed the range hood, did the electrical for the range, and for an outlet that needed to be replaced/reinstalled after the cabinet replacement. Then they brought in and installed the new range, even testing it to make sure it was functioning correctly (he even set the clock for me - Thanks!). Provided some general information on the range operation, even though they weren't the ones I purchased it from.
I have some other work coming up to replace old light fixtures, and will definitely be contacting Portland Installation about the project.

Purchased a new dishwasher and new gas range from Lowes, which delivered the units and offered free install. Past experience with large box stores is that their free installation services are pretty limited, and they generally will not do anything that requires plumbing or any carpentry. I was willing to pay extra to get the appliances installed properly and with only one service call.
I went with Portland Installation after review on Angie's List, as I wanted the appliances installed upon delivery with no need to call for additional services. I arranged the Portland Installation appointment for the same day that Lowes delivered, and they responded promptly, even before Lowes had left. Lowes was kind enough to wait while PI unhooked the old units and they hauled those away.
The PI tech quickly and efficiently installed both the gas range and the dishwasher with minor plumbing and carpentry adjustments, and gave me a good block of instructions on how best to utilize and maintain the appliances. Very polite, professional, and efficient.
I would use their service again, and would recommend it to friends.

Arrived on time, hauled the heavy microwave up (and down) a long series of steps, professional throughout.

When they came, they were pleasant and professional!! They quickly got the vent changed from one for an exhaust fan to the proper one for the microwave, installed an electrical outlet and installed the microwave!! They did a fantastic job!! Also, after they were done with the installation, they cleaned up all the debris from the project!! It was obvious that they'd done this type of installation many times before!! They were done in no time!!!

I would recommend Jim Allen, Inc. for any repair/installation services that you might need!! They're great!! I will certainly keep their phone number handy for future needs!! They deserve my 'A' rating!!! Even an 'A+' as far as I'm concerned!!
