Gave me options for rock, paver, and concrete. We chose rock for aesthetics and price. He came back about 3 weeks later on a particularly soggy November day. He and his workman worked all day long building the retaining wall. As it was progressing, I asked for a small change in the shape, and they accommodated this readily. I think they came back a day or two later to finish things up. I paid extra to have them backfill the top of the wall with extra dirt to make room for a planting bed; he recommended a dirt with more sand in it to help with drainage, and I deferred to his experience. However, it appears to me he used only sand, and didn't backfill nearly the whole area I had in mind. Perhaps this was a communication breakdown, but it's not what I wanted, and I'm going to have to do some work to make it look better and get it ready for planting. The overall quality of the wall is decent. It's straight and feels like it'll hold up for a number of years, but the top finish rocks seemed haphazardly placed, and I spend an hour or two afterward rearranging the top row to make it look more finished. We have other rock walls done on our property that cost a good deal more, and look a lot better, but this wall is mostly utilitarian and suits our needs adequately. They always bring their own port a potty so they don't bother us. They are really good about sealing off the area where they work to prevent dust and noise getting in the rest of their house so this is the first thing that they always do. They are super conscientious about environmental things, whether it is lead paint or sanding dust or using low emission paints and stuff like that. They take a level of care about the details that I have never seen with anybody else. They always have small little ideas on how to make something better; they always ask me if it is okay if we do this, we think it would work better with the pieces you have in this room and they have never charged me extra for it. I will use them again in the future.

With 22 years of experience and a passion for quality, I offer installation of floor coverings such as Luxury Vinyl Plank, sheet vinyl, click together laminate, pre finished hardwoods and also offer carpet repairs and restretches. I am an owner operator and have no employees so you get the same guy consulting, bidding, installing and guaranteeing your new floor. Im returning to the workforce after a 7 year hiatus as an at home dad. My previous company had 6 employees, not counting myself. I learned through that venture that I prefer to be on jobs alone. I like seeing a finished product that makes me and the customer smile. I stand behind all my work 100% for 12 months.
"Brandon transformed my boring cyclone fenced back yard into a tropical oasis. He does beautiful work and is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!"

"Everything about there work was excellent! First they were prompt in coming out to give us an estimate and kept to their schedule. Their estimate was detailed and reasonably priced (we did have other estimates and their detail was the best and their prices were in line with, actually a bit lower, that the other estimates). Their estimate was based on installing a "floating" floor which would be the least expensive way to proceed but when they started the job it became apparent that a "floating" floor would work but wouldn't be the best and they explained to me how a "nailed" floor would be a much higher quality job. I agreed and the indicated that a "nailed" would incur more costs. When I received the revised cost proposal I noted that it was reasonable in regards to the additional materials and they were willing to absorb the additional labor costs. I found this to be more than fair on their part, and very positively impressive on their part - VERY HONEST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. Their people came in, worked hard for long days, kept to their committed schedule, and when little issues came up they always dealt with them in a way that gave me a better quality job. Our end job looks GREAT. I don't want to redo my floors again soon, but if it happened MB Flooring would be the ones getting the job. I would be glad to let people come to my house to see for themselves the kind of work they do. If you have a choice give MB Flooring the most serious consideration. Ed O'Rourke Florence OR p.s. FAQs for floor sanding projects in Blue River, OR
The cost to refinish hardwood floors is $1,900 on average, ranging from $600 to $4,500, depending on the area size, the floor’s condition, the type of wood, the type of coating, and the refinishing method. Traditional refinishing includes sanding the floors, which can be very dusty and costs about $3 to $8 per square foot. Dustless refinishing uses a vacuum to collect dust during the sanding process, reducing the amount of dust produced, and costs about $5 to $8 per square foot.
You should aim to hire a professional floor cleaner once or twice per year to remove any set-in stains, resolve scratches, and make your floors look shiny and new again. If you have a bustling household with many children, pets, or severe allergies, having your floors cleaned four times per year is worth the investment to maintain the integrity of your flooring. Don’t forget to prioritize cleaning your floors yourself in between professional cleanings, too.
The cost to install hardwood flooring is about $4,800 on average, ranging from about $1,000 to $12,000. Nationally, the average cost to install hardwood floors ranges from $6 to $12 per square foot for labor and materials. High-end woods and large spaces may cost $13 to $25 per square foot.
Additional cost factors include:
Square footage of the area
Type of wood
Preparation requirements
Type of finish
Location
Floor style and pattern
Plank thickness
Wood grade, color, and grain
It’s time to refinish your hardwood floors when they show signs of age that diminish their overall appearance and function. A few surefire signals that you should consider refinishing your hardwood floors include:
Gouges, scrapes, deep scratches, and dents over a significant area
Discoloration from stains or sun exposure
Water damage causing rotting, warping, or bowing
Weak, spongy, or soft spots in the floor indicating damaged subflooring
Dull and worn appearance across most of the floor
The cost for professional floor cleaning is $250 on average. This cost can range from $100 to $1,500, depending on the type of flooring and its square footage.
For example, natural stone flooring requires specialized techniques and care, so you'll spend closer to the higher end of the cost range. The cost of cleaning tile and grout is more cost-effective, where you'll pay an average of $0.50 to $3.50per square foot.
