"Marty Wilkins is a quality human being who is true to his word and knows what he is doing. He repaired a large gate for me and completely rebuilt an old delapidated deck for me. His sons are hard working great guys. I love my new trex deck. I plan on having them service my entire fence and replace my daughter s entire fence in the next year or so."

Small jobs welcome

"I was once were you are at - searching the internet wondering if this contractor was the right one for the job. In Short: Go hire him (right now) before his schedule fills up -- then come back to this review and read why you just made a great decision. This is a clean-cut young man with excellent skills and runs a business the way it should be run. In a world of shady contractors, Eric is a undiscovered gem. He won't be the cheapest bid, but he certainly does an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay -- I had no issues writing him a check. Eric poured a concrete driveway for my trailer, which included posts for a fence, and a graveled area. We agreed on a price, set a project start date, duration, and everything went as planned. The quality was outstanding! Whether you're a home owner or looking for a sub-contractor - Eric is your man. He lets you know when to expect him on the job site, the work to be done for the day, assures you are always on the same page, and keeps you informed throughout the project. I watched as the driveway was poured (I was curious as to the process) and overheard the cement truck and concrete pumping guys talking. They were impressed on how easy Eric made their jobs. How everyone was there on time, Eric explained how the pour was going to proceed, and there weren't any delays – Guys Luv it when they can get-in, get-out, and get-on to the next job. From the moment the cement starts pouring - the clock is ticking before it hardens. It's impressive to see Eric work cement, form the driveway, and orchestrate 5 other guys -- all at the same time. It can be a stressful time, but Eric was a Kool-Kat who had a handle on everything. I work in technology where perfection is the expectation, so I pay attention to the details. I also work as a project manager, so I know how difficult it is to make sure all the moving parts mesh together seamlessly. After reading the other reviews and watching Eric work - It's clear to see... A little bit of Eric goes into each of his projects and you can see his sense of pride in a serving others with a job well done."

"We had a small fence repair and kept getting turned down from other construction companies because we were too small of a project. Levi called and came over and within a few days our fence was completed. You can't even tell where the fence was repaired. The guys did an exceptional job. Very pleased."

Small jobs welcome

"I hired this company to perform two small jobs at my residence. They gave me a detailed bid within a couple days of looking at the work I wanted done. They gave me a date to start work within a couple of weeks. They got delayed by one day starting the job, but communicated with me a couple days ahead of time about the delay. When they showed up to do the work, they went right to work and completed the job sooner than they initially predicted. I am so happy with the quality of the work they did and the site was as clean as when they got here. I am definitely going to call them when I have more construction projects."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

During fencing projects in Albany, unexpected costs can arise from relocating underground utilities, addressing drainage or soggy soil, and removing tree roots or stumps. Additional expenses may occur if property boundaries are unclear and require surveying. Permit fees and weather-related delays, especially during rainy seasons, can also lead to extra charges for protecting materials or rescheduling work with fencing contractors.

Helpful?

In Albany, signs that fencing work may need to be redone include leaning or shifting fence sections, wobbly posts, and boards that are loose or missing. Watch for moss, mildew, or white fungal growth—especially on the north side—due to the region’s damp climate. Rusted hardware, sagging gates, and peeling paint or stain also signal that your fence may require replacement or repairs soon.

Helpful?

Before requesting fencing services in Albany, document your property lines with a recent survey, note the locations of underground utilities, and check for any neighborhood restrictions. Take clear photos of your existing fence’s condition and materials. List any drainage or soil concerns, and specify preferences for materials, fence height, or features like gates or privacy panels to streamline communication with local fencing professionals.

Helpful?

If you notice loose fence posts after winter, frequent board replacements, or gaps that reduce privacy or security, it’s likely time to plan a fencing project in Albany. The ideal installation period is April through October, when weather is most cooperative. Scheduling in early fall can offer better contractor availability, while spring is perfect for identifying winter damage and preparing for new fencing work.

Helpful?

To prevent delays in Albany, mark all underground utilities, confirm property boundaries with a survey, and secure any necessary permits before starting your fencing project. Talk with neighbors if you share a fence line, and clear vegetation or debris along the proposed route. Address any drainage or standing water issues, and plan for possible weather interruptions to keep your fencing installation on schedule.
