"Wes came out and gave me a fair appraisal for my fencing. He worked with my work schedule to schedule the service. His employees came out, were very polite and worked hard to complete the service in one day. My new fence is beautiful! I will definitely using Wes and his team for any of my future fencing needs!"

"The posts and fence were fine, but we initially had some issues with the gate. When contacted Todd who returned quickly, acknowledged our concerns, and immediately proposed a solution (a whole new gate) -- at no additional charge. He returned to complete the project and we are very satisfied with the result."

"We were referred to Matt/MBA Deck and Fence by a local lumber yard and were also able to see him on Angie's List. He was prompt in coming over to our home over a month ago and seemed knowledgeable about the various brands and types of composite decking materials. Unfortunately even after a number of texts exchanged we have yet to receive the quote now over a month past his visit. We can understand being busy and not able to bid at the time so the professional response would have been to inform us of that fact instead of indicating that he would quote- perhaps even offer later availability. Very disappointing especially since he received a glowing recommendation from a local lumber yard."

"We went all season last year with one whole line in our system broken.  I wasn't going to go through another season with it still not working.  I called Gabriel's on a Friday in the late afternoon.  Efron came out to give an estimate on Saturday.  The repair was done on Monday.  I was aware of a broken valve and one broken sprinkler head in one line.  In the process of the repair Efron found another broken sprinkler head in a separate line in the system.  He fixed all three problems in the same visit.  He did a great job.  The system works like a charm.  Great guy to work with.  He's very helpful, very friendly."

"Excellent job! He even stayed after the job was done to do another job for me. He was punctual, thorough, and polite. I will definitely hire him again and recommend him. It’s so refreshing to see a young person who wants to work these days!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Completing fencing projects in Corvallis enhances privacy and security, which is especially important in neighborhoods with high foot traffic. A well-installed fence also acts as a windbreak, reducing the impact of Willamette Valley storms and heavy rainfall, making outdoor spaces more comfortable year-round. Additionally, fencing clearly defines property lines and boosts curb appeal, which is valuable in Corvallis’s older neighborhoods where boundaries may be unclear.

Helpful?

In Corvallis, early warning signs include wood rot at the base of posts, moss or algae buildup, and boards that warp or split after wet winters. Leaning posts in clay-heavy soil, loose or rusted hardware after storms, and gates that sag or stick are indicators to address promptly. Cracked concrete footings or shifting posts during the rainy season often signal the need for more extensive repairs.

Helpful?

When comparing fencing quotes in Corvallis, be wary of unusually low bids, vague descriptions of materials, or contractors who rush you to decide. Reliable professionals should discuss local soil and drainage considerations, clarify if city permits are needed, and provide references from previous Corvallis projects. Look for written warranties, transparent payment terms, and clear timelines to ensure your fencing project is protected.

Helpful?

In Corvallis, new homes often start with basic fencing for privacy and property boundaries. Within 5-10 years, homeowners may upgrade to weather-resistant materials or add decorative elements as landscaping matures. By 10-20 years, repairs or partial replacements are common due to moisture exposure. After 20 years, full replacement is typical, often reflecting established landscaping and the area’s long-term property values.

Helpful?

In Corvallis, letting sprinklers hit your fence, piling leaves or mulch against the base, or ignoring moss growth can trap moisture and accelerate decay. Allowing vines or tree branches to rub against fencing, especially during storms, causes wear. Skipping annual inspections before the rainy season or failing to reseal wood fencing every few years can lead to premature deterioration in Oregon’s moist climate.
