"Have had him do 3 jobs for us. He repaired a bad breaker. Converted my daughter's bad fluorescent kitchen lights to led. Converted my kitchen lights to led. Installed 3 ceiling fans. Checked socket in chandelier. Will be having him install new porch light when I find ones I like. I couldn't be happier. If I could have I would have put 4 plus signs after each "A" rating."

"I called on Tuesday and spoke to them. Initially just needed the gap at the bottom of our door to garage fixed. They were not sure when they could get out. Called me back and said they could have Andy come out the next day. Andy arrived on time. I showed him what we needed done with the door. As he was fixing the door, I asked what other work items he did. We had some lights mounted on the front of the house that didn't work, and some fixtures under our cabinets what didn't work properly. I ran to store to pick up everything he needed, and he worked on the items while I was gone. I had initially only scheduled him for 2 hours. He ended up doing far more than I initially asked. He stayed 3.5, and said it was no problem. He replaced a light on the front if the house, sealed another that had stopped working, and replaced 4 under counter florescent lights with 4 new led fixtures. He finished everything! He cleaned up, was very friendly and professional! Would absolutely use him again!

"Do make sure you think everything out in the beginning of what you really want to do. Don't change your mind mid way during remodeling, changes can cost more in the long run. Do have a good visual of what you want and make sure you write down and give to Roger in the beginning, keep a copy for yourself. Remember, he is the contractor, not the one living in your house. You need to let him know what you want. Roger has some good suggestions and ideas, but if you don't like his ideas, let him know. He's a nice guy and returns calls back very promptly. Get a completion date and DON'T do remodeling during all the major holidays. We did and it was horrible! We started in mid October and they just finished February 6th. But I love my new dining room, island in kitchen, granite, new hall, utility room and cabinets. I guess i would say it was worth the wait and I would hire Roger Allen again!!

"We needed 2 ceiling fans installed, so I looked on Angie's List and sent a msg to 3 different electricians I found on here. They were the first to respond within 1-2hrs. I sent my msg on our way to church service and when it was over, I noticed they responded. They were on time, professional, and polite. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
